I could have posted exactly that about Mr Redo jwil (including the motorbike bit) and is was one of our main areas of friction. My mortgage free diary: +++ Divide by Cucumber Error. Please reinstall universe and reboot+++

Also saw The Salt Path over the weekend, I enjoyed it but as you say, loads more in the book, the film is definitely an abbreviated version. I'm not at all familiar with the area but very much enjoyed the landscapes and the variety, no idea it was in the 'wrong' order 🤪.

Me to. In my case he has two rooms full of mainly electronic stuff that "might come in useful". I dont have motor parts but the garage contents are largely in the conservatory at the moment with no sign of it going back in the garage any time soon.redofromstart said:I could have posted exactly that about Mr Redo jwil (including the motorbike bit) and is was one of our main areas of friction.

I have learnt to avoid the film of the book or the book of the film. They never seem to work well.1

In my case, it is roommate's stuff. I don't even have a decent chair to sit on - just a stiff hard one for working at the computer. I get upset a lot but it doesn't make any difference. She moves a couple of things around and feels that is it for the day. I am going to have to call in outside help on this one.1

It's very frustrating isn't it. I'm sure you'd rather have Mr Redo around to still get annoyed at though.redofromstart said:I could have posted exactly that about Mr Redo jwil (including the motorbike bit) and is was one of our main areas of friction.
Ours is mostly collections that have got out of control, things he'd like to do 'one day' or where he's bought stuff from a car boot with the aim of keeping a bit and getting rid of the rest, but the rest never goes! Plus newspapers and magazines.ladyholly said:

That sounds really tough. I hope you manage to get the help that you need. We can at least sit down in comfort (even if I don't like the view!).. It's not fair on you at all.

I also loved the landscapes and loved seeing places I know. Even if I was thinking 'those rocks shouldn't be there' and 'that town is in the wrong place' 🤣teapot2 said:Also saw The Salt Path over the weekend, I enjoyed it but as you say, loads more in the book, the film is definitely an abbreviated version. I always like to give them a go. There are some which work fabulously, some ok but with niggles, and others which are just dire.badmemory said:I have learnt to avoid the film of the book or the book of the film. You seem to have found the best way forward with DH and hoarding. He is lucky to have you as hoarders living alone fare poorly.
Glad you both got to see the SP together. I am looking forward to seeing it myself. I know that part of the world and miss it, so would be happy watching just the visuals. Ha
