I am sorry you are having a tough time at home and work. OHs can be challenging with their hoarding. Is there any way you can clear a small space somewhere just for you?1

And it's the start of another week. Mine seems to be fairly quiet (at the moment) with a day at a conference on Wednesday so hopefully it will be easier. I sat down last night and made a list of all the positives about my job to try and counteract the negative feelings and it did help a bit.
- I like my colleagues
- I earn enough for us to live on, and combined with DH's wages, we can do some extras too.
- Compressed hours means I get Fridays off with no loss of pay
- Because I have stayed where I am so long, my pension is going to be enough, and even if I left today, and took my pension at the earliest point, allowing for reductions, I'd still have an income that is enough to supplement my state pension nicely, and I would only have to work a few hours a week until state pension to have enough to live on. Obviously this position improves every day I stay there, and I have a date fixed in my head which is the point at which I plan to 'retire'.
- Barring business need, I can choose whether I go into the office or WFH
- Flexi time
- Flexibility if I have to leave for a poorly child, go to a school event etc.
- I can walk to the office so no need for a lengthy commute

Yes I think there's just been so much going on, it's all overwhelming.
There are several beaches nearby where I don't mind heading to the place, but there's no way we're going in the water at any time!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee2 -
It's been nice having a meeting-free day today, and it makes a change! I've been given a load of new work though so swings and roundabouts 😆. It does sound like they might be realising that they've cut us back too far, so there might be some hope in the future.
DH sold two items today but only one posted, as the other item has sold for the second time, and the buyer has cancelled on both occasions.
I got home from taking little miss this morning, and little jwil turned up unexpectedly all upset. I had forgotten to top up his lunch account and he'd run out of data so couldn't get in touch with me. I did calm him down and top up his lunch and phone, and then dropped him back down to school. I forgot to send little miss with lunch on Friday and now this too (the phone isn't my fault, he could have told me he was running out of data). It just demonstrates that I am dropping the ball at the moment, so I need to try and get more organised. I have also reminded them all that I don't need to be doing their thinking for them, and they need to help me out."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Another one here who had to do the drop a dinner off routine. .....Also a child wearing trainers as the lace snapped and I haven't had time... Amongst many other things. You are not alone.Jan 18 Joint debts 35,213

I hoped you have blocked the offenders.Dont beat yourself up about forgotten lunches etc. You have an awful lot on your plate and little jwil is certainly old enough to be responsible for checking his data and lunch account. You are human not superwoman.
