I hoped you have blocked the offenders.Dont beat yourself up about forgotten lunches etc. You have an awful lot on your plate and little jwil is certainly old enough to be responsible for checking his data and lunch account. You are human not superwoman.
Thank you. It's so frustrating isn't it with the timewasters. I certainly do block everyone that messes me around!doingitanyway said:Lots of positives there and great news about your retirement income
Thank you. I won't be rich, but it will be enough, and I don't have extravagant ambitions. I'd rather retire early and embrace slow living. Of course with DH's income as well it will be better, but I treat us both separately as you never know what life with throw at you, and I want to make sure we can both live if the other isn't around."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". I haven't been able to get into the forum the last few days, it's just been hanging and timing out. I'm so glad it's back now, I was really missing it and I'd be lost without it!
Apart from melting in the heat, it's not been a bad week. It was nice to have a few days without loads of meetings, and my work conference was a nice day out (and local!).
Yesterday I went and met up with my bestie. It was lovely to catch up and spend some time alone as we've normally both got our children with us. We had a nice brunch in a posh place, and it was a nice change for a Friday. I went down on the train which went very smoothly which meant I could relax with an audiobook as well.
DH and I both got our NW payments. He's using his towards his MOT and repairs, and I have send half of mine to PBs (so I counted £50 as a pad) but the other £50 has been sucked up by general expenses.
A relative is visiting from overseas, so we've been down to see them.
I went and joined SW this morning as well, so I'm committed for 12 weeks. I think I need the in person support to try and keep me on track. I was 2lb lighter than last time I weighed at home so that's a good start."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". We are having a French day today so that little miss can get her Brownie language badge. I went into Mr Ls yesterday to get pastries and they had loads of french food, so that saved me cooking! Not very SW friendly, but I will try not to overindulge.
I am also planning a day at home. I've got loads to catch up on, at least it will hopefully be a bit cooler today."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee4
