Hopefully you can both put it to the back of your minds and relax and enjoy the kiddies being off before any official things happen. and wow for the day to yourself. I like the sound of one of those
There does always seem to be something! Part of me is a bit frustrated that it didn't come to a conclusion before the holidays so we could have had time off together, but I guess at least he's still earning.

I'm very much enjoying my day to myself
I have the doors and windows open so the outside can come in.
I've been flitting about doing odds and sods. It's so nice not to have to chase around after everyone, or clock watch to go and pick them up.
I did a short workout this morning and my challenges for the day. I've done the first day of a 2 day course on preventing diabetes that my gp sent me. It's really nice to feel the improvements in my mobility and strength with these relatively small changes. I need to find a way of seeing these same small improvements in my weight! I probably ought to do my measurements. I know before years ago, I managed to change shape a fair amount, but I didn't really lose any weight.
I've caught up on some of the housework, and given the bathroom a good clean, including the tiles. I've also spent a decent amount of time sitting in the sun reading magazines on borrowbox. I'll probably try and do a bit in the garden this afternoon. I was wondering the other day where all the dandelions were, as we normally have loads, but I hadn't seen one. Today there are loads in the garden! I won't get rid of them yet as I like them as they are very cheery, but there's plenty more weeding that can be done."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Your day sounds lovely. Just what you needed.

Just catching up with your diary and sorry to read about DH’s job. What a worrying time for him and such a shame that a small business will have to close. Thank goodness you’ll be able to manage without his wages for a while if need be. Hopefully he’ll pick up another job quickly. When Mr SA became ill we lost his income immediately as he was self employed. It took some getting used to but it’s amazing what you can do when you need to.Well done on the strength training challenge.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

When it happened last time, it was so stressful as we had no flex at all and he wasn't due any payout, so it's very much a relief that we don't have that immediate panic this time.

Another glorious day out there today. I've decided I'll go with DH to the car boot sale as that will be a way of getting some steps in. We'll pop to the supermarket after for a few bits.
I have some listing I to do for DH - must do this to try and get the momentum up whilst we wait to hear anything.
It's a nice thought only having to work two days this week and with no school runs, that will mean my working day is 1-1.5 hours shorter!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee6
