I'm not feeling the love at the moment. Work is hard at the moment, and it's a struggle saying goodbye to our colleagues. We did have a good night out though last week which was nice.
I'm very relieved that I managed to keep my job as there's talk at DH's job of the business potentially shutting down in the next couple of weeks(!). He's been there almost 8 years, so he'll get a bit of redundancy but not a huge amount. It's just all that uncertainty again. Luckily it's less of a problem than for me, as we can live off my wage for a bit, we couldn't do the same for his. If it lasts a month or two longer though he'd get past the 8 year mark which would give him a little bit more redundancy. It's always a shame though, it's a small local business, but they have been struggling for a while so it's not the biggest surprise.
There just doesn't seem any end to all the doom and gloom across the country let alone personally!
In better news:
DH has had a nice flurry of sales, including 8 items to one person, so that was a big box of stuff gone!
I have been sticking to walking and picked up my weights again. I've also done day 1 and 2 of the April Strength training challenge for BHF. I'm averaging about 1000 steps a day more than this time last year and it's nice to see that average increasing gradually.
Not succeeding so much in terms of housework, and the last couple of weeks my diet has left a lot to be desired, so I'm trying to get back on track with eating well. Not that it does me any good as the scales are going in completely the wrong direction! I can eat poorly for months and I stay the same. I eat better and do more exercise and I've probably gained half a stone.
Nearly the Easter Holidays, so I'm only working 2 days each of the next two weeks which will be nice. Then there will be another short week because of Easter Monday, and then there will be some time off in May with the Bank Holidays and half term, so that's all to look forward to!
Financials are all going in the right direction for now.

Fingers crossed for your husband's job.

The strength challenge sounds interesting...
