Thank goodness it's Thursday as it's been a really full on week. One more week to go then I'm off for 2 weeks! I think I have a few days to take in January too as it will be the end of my leave year, so I need to look at that and book some dates
Little miss has borrowed my Marie Kondo books and has been doing her room bit by bit in the evenings. Long may that continue! It's all of her own accord, and I think the books are helping her consider what she wants.
My knee is mostly better now, and I can walk on it with only a little pain, but it's still painful at night. I think I must have twisted it, and the way I sleep at night is aggravating it. I've tried using a pillow but it's just annoying. I keep coming down and sleeping on the sofa as I can rest it against the back and that is much more comfortable. That new sofa is the best purchase of the year! I wouldn't have been able to do that on the old ones. I sleep quite well and cpmfortably on the new one, it's almost nicer than our mattress!

Why does it never rain but it pours?
DH's car was rear-ended on his way home from work today. Thankfully he is ok, but the car is a write off.

Before I had the call from DH, I was having a very productive day.
I'd cleaned the kitchen again, trying to keep on top of it a bit more. Glad I did it as the boiler co has just rang and booked an appointment for next week. Annoyingly we do have to pay, but I just did it, rather than trying to ring round and find someone. That's the same day that DH's car is being collected by the insurance co, so might as well get all the rubbish stuff done at the same time. The RTA was only round the corner from us, so DH managed to get the car back here.
I pulled out all the Christmas stuff and have wrapped it all, posted two parcels, and now have a better idea of what's remaining. So although I'm later than planned, I'm feeling pretty organised. I put a random Christmas film on NF while I was doing that. I ordered the wrong Christmas cards from school, so I need to go and buy some now. We don't send many, but mainly to relatives around the country, and I don't have enough now.
That's both our cars needing replaced this year, and neither was planned!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee5 -
Oh b*gger. Well as you say, at least he's okay, that's the most important thing.
He'd better get flogging some more of his stuff then eh!

Normally I order a pack of around 12 small cards. This year I seem to have ordered 6 large cards. I've checked back the order confirmation so I must have been a numpty."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do".
