DH has been fine thankfully. "Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee1 -

Woo hoo! I'm in the £8ks! My CC payment went through this morning.
Today has been so hectic. It's my last week at work and I've got loads I want to be finishing. I had to take DH to work this morning and pick him up as well so that I could keep my car today. School runs, and I also had to accept delivery of DH's hire car that has been provided by the insurance co. At least that takes the pressure off us a little bit.
The amount DH will get for his car will be minimal as it's 16 years old, so we're not waiting for the claim to be settled before looking for something new. We tried to look at a few over the weekend, but with limited success. Thank goodness that DH didn't need to spend his redundancy as that can be used towards the new (to us) car.

Thank you everyone, I'm so chuffed to be in the 8s, and excited about how much I can try and reduce it by next year.
It's been such a tough week, a lot going on, and I'll try and do a proper update at some point.
I gained 2.5lb today, ouch! It is probably well deserved (one day this week I had a big tube of smarties and a third of a tube of Pringles for lunch 😆🤦♀️), but this is also my hormonal gain week, so maybe some of it will come off again. I'm not going to bother about it until January now anyway. Despite my lunch in the week, we haven't gone crazy with the Christmas food, and I've dipped into it a lot later than I would normally, so habits are certainly improving. I did stock up on some of the lidl veg yesterday and plan to get more. I'd particularly like a nice stash of carrot and swede mash in the freezer, as that will be nice and easy to grab."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do".
