CC payment made today so the car balance is going down. I've still got to make the other card payment so I'll be in the £8ks this month
I have had a very lazy day today, it's been lovely. Walked the dog first thing, then tidied round before the school run. Once I got home from that, I just sat on the sofa all day! I took advantage of having the TV to myself to watch One Magic Christmas as I prefer to watch that alone and sob through it
Then just sat enjoying a book.
I need to go through the Christmas stuff and check that I'm organised and write down a list of what I haven't got. So much for being done before December!
We got a leaflet from RM saying that if you use the app you can get proof of postage when you post in a postbox, so I've downloaded the app. That will be so handy for my stuff which will fit in a postbox, so I won't have to faff around queueing at the PO!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Oh One Magic Christmas that’s a proper tear jerker. I’m like that with Love Actually, Emma Thompson’s scene with the CD still gets me 🤣I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

I haven't watched Love Actually for years as I couldn't find it on any of the streaming services I had. I see it's on one of them this year, so it's on my list!Sun_Addict said:Oh One Magic Christmas that’s a proper tear jerker. I've been busy this morning trying to catch up with things and get organised. Little miss has her concert across county tomorrow, so she needs to take a packed lunch and dinner. She wrote a little list of what she wanted so I've been making sausage rolls and waffles this morning.
I've sorted through the big cupboard in the kitchen, gathered together all the Xmas goodies so I can see what is there for gifts and what is for us. Caught up with some admin type tasks.
Yesterday I lost 2.5lb and finally got my 2.5 stone award. It's actually 2st 9lbs now so there's a little buffer to allow for Christmas fluctuations! It's taken almost 2 months to get that 1/2 stone off, but there's been a lot going on. If I can stay roughly where I am until the new year then I'll be happy.
It was my work Christmas do last night, so we had a lovely meal out. I drove so didn't drink. Not at all on plan, but very nice! Nice to see some ex-colleagues as well as current ones.
I withdrew most of my PBs the other day and put them in my monthly paying interest accounts for a bit then I will re-buy them. I know people say that buying in bulk seems to make them win more often, which is statistically unlikely, but as I haven't won anything for almost 3 years, I'll give it a go! I like to keep them there as my EF as they are just out of reach enough for me to not dip into them and also the (very small) chance of winning! I'll lose a month on these in the draw but I left a couple of hundred in there so I'm not completely out of the running and I'll gain a small amount of interest."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do".
