Epic PAD today due to a survey cashout
A very nice start to the month.
I've been up since 4.30 today, so getting later!
DH pulled all the decorations down yesterday, so depending on how the day goes I might take a long lunchbreak to catch up with the cleaning and put the tree together so the kids can decorate it later."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". I was up just after 4am this morning. Part of me is liking the extra productivity, but I'd prefer a little later!
Boiler man was here by 8 and that is all sorted. He's reported the dripping condensate pipe and says it should be fixed as an installation error, so that would be nice if we don't have to pay!
I've also managed to book a smart meter installation appointment after being on the waiting list for months. That's in January. It will be good to see how much the car is actually costing me to charge, though judging by our electricity usage it's not a lot.
I had a super productive day yesterday and took a long lunchbreak to get myself organised. I cleaned through downstairs and put the tree together so the kids decorated it last night. I am extremely grateful to last year me who apparently took the time to neatly wind up all the lights so they weren't a tangled mess! I must be that organised person again this year.
The house being relatively tidy and the nice lights makes it all feel much calmer, cleaner and more relaxing. Just need to do upstairs now."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee6 -

Happy Thursday! I'm done again for the week
I'm still enjoying the tidy house, little miss even started tidying her room last night which is a miracle in itself! I might dip in there a bit this weekend.
I renewed my car insurance with the same company, but tweaked a couple of the details on the renewal (including DH's job title) and it came out another £10 cheaper so that was a result.
I found our water bill in my spam folder, and in the time since we've had the meter, we've paid in £90 a month, so £360 and are in credit of £162 so I reckon that we should be able to get that bill down to closer to £60! I'm not going to do anything until we've had it a year, but it's a positive result, considering we were paying £127 per month!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do".
