It's an endless struggle for me too. It's definitely not easy. Going to group is what is keeping me largely on track at the moment, I'd have thrown the towel in if I wasn't doing that.beanielou said:

Last night was the concert. It was nice enough, but really, over an hour travelling across county, spending over £30 on tickets, we had to buy a meal deal each as we had gone straight from work, fuel etc. All for a single song performance!!!! We couldn't really see her, after they had performed, they disappeared out of sight until the end of the concert. There were performances from loads of schools, so it was a nice event, but a lot of effort and travelling for very little really. We took another child home so did our good deed for the day as well.
We didn't get home until after 10.30, so it was a very long day for them.
I'd much rather have gone to the carols in the park in town, and taken her for that, which would have been local and free!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee7 -
Hi @jwil, just catching up... so many positives. Well done on the weight loss, PAD's, decluttering, listing of items to sell, etc. It's a busy time of year, especially with youngsters and a full time job, so be kind to yourself and reflect on your amazing achievements x1
