I have been a busy bee this morning! DH was on early so I walked the dog. I couldn't believe how dark it was all of a sudden! I don't like dark mornings
I've tidied through the house and caught up with the housework. I did the meter readings and caught up on admin stuff as well. I've also tidied the packaging cupboard which is much better now too.
I've also sorted through all of my clothing and have a nice pile to go. I checked the clothing bank had space at school this morning so I shall take it with me. I'm much more organised now. I have plenty of tops, including several which will do the next size down. I also found trousers that I'd packed away that will do me the next couple of sizes down as well. So that's good news and means I will probably just have to replace undies at some point, but they are fine for now."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". We're back from a weekend in Cornwall. We came back earlier than we normally would today as DH's car started playing up and we (or more accurately, I) was worried we were going to break down on the A30 or motorway so I wanted to just head home. Thankfully the car was fine coming home, but it's a bit of a shame we missed out on our normal Sunday morning mooch around.
Friday night was wild, it was so noisy in the caravan with the wind and the rain, and that was nothing compared to what was happening up north. I hope everyone was relatively unscathed. I love the sound of the wind and the rain normally, but it did keep us all awake and I couldn't even hear my audiobook over it
Saturday was lovely though with lots of beach time, and it was nice to just sit and watch the waves which were obviously a lot bigger than normal! Although it was still windy, it was actually quite a nice day with lots of sunny spells and only the odd shower.
I've updated my PADs, but need to go back and update the car total, as I made a payment to the CC over the weekend, and I can't remember how much.
No weigh in for me this weekend, and I haven't been on plan, but equally I haven't gone overboard so hopefully not done too much damage. Back on it tomorrow. We've done plenty of walking though and lots of hills.
One parcel packed and posted."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee5 -
A mixed trip, but nice to get away and Cornwall in any weather is stunning.

That's the ideal isn't it? To improve your health by losing weight but still enjoy yourself. A bit like this money stuff I guess, unlearning old habits, learning new ones, learning how to live well.
It sounds like a lovely trip away.

Your mention of cars and Cornwall has made me remember years ago our car breaking down en route to Cornwall. It was fixed and we eventually made it there but it was fingers crossed all the way home.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3

I've updated the car total with the CC payment, and am now in the £9ks! Very pleased with that.
DH has booked his car in for Friday, so at least hopefully that will be resolved and hopefully not too expensive.
Went into the office today, but I drove in for various reasons. A good day on plan though, that is one benefit of being in the office!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
