Sorry to hear of your holiday/ car woes. Do these people not realise people sleep at night.1

You’re doing amazingly well with the weight loss. I did (and still do) WW and I think it helps going to a group for the inspiration and support.Your car ordeal reminded me of years ago when we broke down on the way to Cornwall. We did eventually get the car fixed and reached our destination a lot later than planned. We were on tenterhooks on the way back home. That was a very expensive week away 😐I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

@jwil please pop over to the parking board where there'll be loads of advice on avoiding a 'fine' - or speculative invoice as it's more accurately described. You should not have to pay under such circumstances. Love Humdinger xx1

Oh bad luck with the car. Absolute pain when they go wrong and the nocturnal shenanigans sound a nightmare!Nov/Dec 24 £39 564

Well done on your weight loss, you are doing amazing & as someone who struggles I know what an achievement it is. Glad you got a break but really wish the car hadn’t broken down for you. Both my sons play football so we buy a lot of boots, one son has narrow feet & one has wide feet & if you haven’t bought boots yet please don’t buy pull on sock type ones - they just don’t go on wide feet! Ask me how I know!! Lace up ones are better for wide feet. I feel your pain on school shoes, just spent £100 in a well known shop on 2 pairs. My friend got the blue light discount two weeks ago, last week they had stopped offering it on kids shoes!! I was not impressed xx2

Sorry the breakdown took away some of your holiday time. I hope you have managed to catch up on the lost sleep and glad you had a nice time for the rest of it x hopefully your car turns out to be something simple and cheap to fix and the camera etc wasn't working that day to save you the hassle of appealing a parking fine xJan 18 Joint debts 35,213

. I like that, and I was trying to follow that, it really helps.
beanielou said:Glad you had a good wee break but boo to the car & the breakdown company phoning you so many times in the middle of the blooming night.I couldn't believe it. I'd assumed as I hadn't heard anything that nothing was happening and had planned to just chase when I got home. Even the recovery chap had said it would be a lot easier dealing with it in the daytime
