I'm on a mission today to give the house a good tidy up. I've got all the bedding and towels down, with the first load done and on the line. Cleaned the bathroom and kitchen, hoovered through, and even dusted our bedroom which doesn't happen very often 😆 The washing is all sorted and handed back to everyone, and the kids have been asked to tidy their rooms.

I need to 'do' the house too. Like you yesterday, bedding is in the wm.
Just noticed your signature. Brilliant. If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

We're just back from our little break in Wales. It hasn't been the best break we've had but we managed to salvage a couple of days.
My car broke down. The breakdown co couldn't figure out what was wrong, so I had the choice of getting it recovered to a local garage where they couldn't guarantee it would be ready before we left, or get it recovered home. So the car was recovered home, and we were provided with a hire car which we dropped back when we arrived here today. So we lost a day hanging around for rescue, and then to get the hire car, and then to get my car recovered. They collected my car on Tuesday night and then delivered here at 3am this morning! Overall it was a success, but the recovery was hard work as I was dealing with several companies and the communication from the breakdown company was poor. I had to keep explaining I wasn't with the car and it had already been collected and I didn't know where it was!
So we lost Tuesday completely, Wednesday managed to get out and about with the hire car but had to keep dealing with recovery even though nothing happened in the end. We had a lovely day on Thursday, and spent half of the day Friday in traffic heading homeThey seem to be nocturnal. The hire car was delivered at 10.30pm and last night they phoned me about the recovery at 11.30pm, 12am, 1.30am, 2.30am and 2.45am, so I didn't get much sleep!
We're back safely, though, my car is here. We just need to figure out what's next, and will likely have to pay for a recovery to a garage on top of whatever needs doing. It was lovely to come home to a clean house, so the time spent last weekend was well worth it. We'll have a parking fine to deal with as the break down took place in a retail park where we had stopped to get the battery tested, so we exceeded the parking while waiting for the breakdown company. Hopefully I'll be able to appeal it. It's weird though, as there were no signs at all, it was all fine until it wasn't!
I haven't really been on plan this week, but I've been mindful about what I've been eating, and I haven't felt like comfort eating even though I was stressed! We've done plenty of walking, and I did some walks that I wouldn't have attempted before, so I'm definitely improving. I'm hoping I'll just maintain tomorrow.
I'm looking forward to my own bed tonight, I need some sleep!
