I lost 3.5lb this week, so got my stone award and the silver body magic award this morning
That's 1st 3lb in total now. I'm amazed! I got slimmer of the week as well again, so another nice lot of food including home grown tomatoes and cucumbers. We go through loads so it's really handy. There were loads of tins though so coming home was hard work, that will help strengthen my arms!
We then went in town to try and get the kids school shoes. Goodness, that was painful! We got their feet measured, but as they both have wide feet, it's really hard finding shoes that fit. We managed it though, and they both now have school shoes, a pair of trainers and some sliders. It was a rather costly day. We still need to get football boots for little jwil, but I will see if I can get a pre-loved pair as he doesn't use them a lot and they are really expensive!
I picked up a couple of reduced tops in the next size down. I'm very much looking forward to being able to shop in 'normal' shops rather than plus sized ones. I'll have much more choice.

You'e doing well with your weight loss.
I think most people of SW tend to buy clothes in the smaller sizes from charity shops. Don't want to spend lots on new clothes that you'll hopefully only be wearing for a short while.
There wasn't Vinted and FBMP around when I was losing weight but I was quite lucky as only wanted to go down about a stone so if I was lucky I might go down a size but in fact I didn't. I still wear the same size at target - they're just that bit more comfortable!

Well done on the weight loss and slimmer of the week. I hope carrying the tins somehow counts on your silver and gold awards!.
Ouchee to the shoes although a necessary spend I know. I'm trying to put that off for another week or two as they are all seem to be sprouting taller every day here. I've bought a few pairs of football boots from vinted in the past and seem to have done okay. No idea what's the right brand to buy but for the few wears they get during PE they've stood us okay and are in the cupboard for the younger two. Our local charity shop has set up a football boots section ready for back to term and I think our local clubs have a boot donation scheme so might be worth seeing if anything similar near you. Especially as with wider feet it would be easier to try first to see if a brand is okay.
Glad you treated yourself too for some clothes too wear xJan 18 Joint debts 35,213

I do use vinted though. I didn't really intend on buying anything, but these were a good price and will last me a while. I don't have loads of clothes so I wear them over and over again. If I lose weight too quickly then at least I'll be able to sell them on again! That's really good that you are still wearing the same size. I'm really between sizes at the moment, so the ones I bought will fit ok now, but get more comfortable as time goes on!

Thank you! It is painful doing the school shoes isn't it. I don't know if anyone does a similar scheme here, but I remember reading about something a few years ago, so I'll have a look - thank you! I did google which brands were better for wider feet, so have a few ideas now. I might get DH to keep an eye at the car boots over the next couple of weeks. Also I guess, just look at what he's got now and try and buy the same brand a size up!

A bit of a slower afternoon. I had a look through a couple of areas in our bedroom and decluttered a few bits. I also painted my toenails as I found some nail polish and wanted to check it was still useable.
DH has sold another item and it's a bit of a bulky one so that's always nice to see things like that going. He's been carrying on with his sorting."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee1 -
Well done on the weight loss. You are doing really well.I feel your pain with school shoes although I havent had to buy them for many years. I used to buy my dgds school shoes to help my dd out as they were so costly. My dd had a whole size difference in her feet and I dont think we ever had a coice of which ones fit properly. I was a case of those fit and they are the ones you will wear.1

It's so hard trying to find shoes! I'm almost at that stage as well, it fits so they'll do!Newstartforme said:Well done Jwil , you are doing so so well , you must be feeling great , amazing results in a short time xIt does feel great, and slightly surreal. I've always really struggled to lose weight in the past, so I can't quite believe I'm finding it so easy at the moment. I keep waiting for it to end!
