Happy Sunday!
It's been a very hectic week this week, so today is just a day for chilling. I've been catching up on admin this morning, packed a parcel for DH and have done some PA surveys for the first time in weeks, so have managed to cash out on there as well. I'll pad that tomorrow.
Last week I was out and about a lot for work, including delivering leaflets one day so I got a nice lot of steps in, even though it was meltingly hot out there. While I was out one day, our water meter was fitted, so that was a nice surprise (and at long last!). I haven't had any information about what our new payments might be, but we've hopefully got a nice credit as we've been paying £127 per month since April! I did also see when I re-read the original email that if they don't fit it within 30 working days of the request, then I get free water and sewerage for the period between that date and the actual fitting. I requested it in early March so I think that's about 10 weeks past the deadline!
DH has had his confirmation that he'll get his redundancy payment, and his owed holiday. We now can claim for the loss of notice, but not confident that he'll get much if anything, as they will take off any benefits that he could have claimed, even if he didn't, but also any money he's earned since leaving. So he's being penalised for trying to get another job straight away!
2lb off at SW this week which is great. I would have liked the extra 0.5lb to get my half stone, but hopefully this week. I'm in a good mindset at the moment, so long may it last. I'm now back to where I was at the start of the year.
Only 2 more weeks til the summer holidays. I can't wait! I've booked one week off at the same time as DH so we'll have a week off together. I'll have my Fridays as normal, and I've also booked odd days off, so that combined with the bank holiday means I'm only working one full week in the holidays, the rest will be short weeks.
Yesterday we went to the seaside for a couple of hours of fresh air. It was nice to be out and about. The only sour episode was while DH and little jwil were walking along the beach while little miss and I were walking along the seafront. Someone's dog came up and was really hassling little jwil, jumping up at him, and really hounding him. Dh was trying to block it, but it was following little jwil every time he moved and looked quite snappy. He's got scratches down his legs from it and was very distressed. The owner just stood there calling the dog, didn't make any attempt to come and get it. She was very lucky that I was out of reach as I was absolutely raging. Little jwil is scared of most dogs anyway (he's fine with ours) because when he was a toddler a large dog jumped up at him out of nowhere and frightened him by getting in his face when we were just walking through a town one day."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Some dog owners are just so irresponsible and let their dogs do what they want. Horrible experience for little jwil.

Well done on the continued loss.
The dog thing makes me so cross. My youngest attracts random bitey small dogs and was twice bitten by off lead things as a small child. Both owners said out of character but that doesn't make it ok.My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

Well done another 2lbs off 🥳
I have the opposite problem with my dog - people won’t leave her alone! She’s very wary of strangers but everyone wants to stroke her which she hates. She also seems to attract dogs running up to her which upsets her as she doesn’t like dogs.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2 -

Our current dog mostly ignores other dogs!
