Hi all
Back after a few days away which was lovely, back at the paid stuff yesterday which was most definitely not lovely.
Woke up to snow this morning which turned to heavy rain. DH is at work so I have made carrot muffins and given the kitchen a good clean. I have also put away all the clean washing and had a general tidy up.
I am now watching telly and generally being very lazy.
Glad everything is sorted with the car Round and glad there is positive news about DD Fayolle. I might light the fire.8 -
Two wash loads on airer, very wet and windy walk with Poppet, sorted the plastic container shelf, put Xmas tree and all decs out, finished wrapping Xmas presents.Spend less now, work less later.8

HALLOOOOO xx
It was too quiet on here so I thought I'd shout 😊
I think Bert has arrived in the East now. It's been blowing a hoolie all night and I've just opened the curtains to a very grey, very wet, day. Heyho. Indoor jobs it is then.
Didn't have a great night's sleep thanks go Bert and Christmas overwhelm. Eeek. Its still November. For goodness sake.
Anyhoo. I'm up, made my bed, turned over the calendars, taken my meds, completed Wordle in four, completed Connections with no lives lost, completed Strands with no hints needed, supped a brew, texted my DB to ask if he's had any test results back, emailed wedding photos and a photo of Kevin to L, discussed Strictly spoiler via WhatsApp with a colleague, and now I'm ready for brew 2.

Morning all,I feel like I keep on missing loads as I work the last days of the week. I did do some flying at the beginning of the week, as well as wrapping a few Christmas presents, but not enough to post about really. Spent yesterday with a horrible headache (think someone has given me another cold just as I was starting to get over the last one), so couldn't face meal planning etc. I did a bit of uniform washing, and half-heartedly looked at the supermarket websites to see what offers were on. Connections completed, wordle in 4, Strands with 3 hints. WM is on again this morning, and thankfully the headache seems to be on the way out too. For those of you who may remember that I was accidentally dairied at Costa the other week, they are sending the area manager in to re-train the staff in the allergy policy (my main hope from all of this as I was worried for people with anaphylaxis) and have also given me a monetary goodwill gesture for making me ill, which I will probably use towards getting some nice allergy-safe things for DS2 (he has many food allergies and free from products are pricey) for Christmas.Congratulations to your DD Valli on her graduation - I hope the ceremony went well and wasn't addled by the weather at all.iona those mini christmas cakes sound really good - how do you make them? I remember doing it as an activity when I was getting work experience for my PGCE years ago and they used mini baked bean tins to make their ones. Well done to W on her results too. Belated Happy Wedding Aniversary.kazwookie I hope your cat is recovering ok and that the vet bills weren't too expensive.Jazee I hope that Poppet is ok and not too traumatised by her attackFayolle - great news that DD is out of hospital - good luck for her exams.DS1 has an inset day tomorrow, so I'm taking him to a Beefeater for breakfast (will be cutting it fine getting there though, as DS2 starts school at 8.40am and the latest I could book the breakfast was 9am, so we may be a few minutes late). Also need to go shopping for DS1's food tech ingredients with him afterwards at Mr Al as there is one nearby to the Beefeater. DS2 has to dress up as an Egyptian tomorrow, so will have to find the costume and lay it all out for him. At least there is less uniform needed this week.Well I'd better go an get some breakfast and get cracking with the flying. First stop the bathroom and the WC. I've sprayed the antibac cleaner on, so will go and wipe that down now as it's had time to sit.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20179

Well it was just about morning when I started to type, but the clock flipped over, so afternoon one and all.
Rain is lashing down here, and blowing round in circles back into itself. Bert is definitely here.Bathroom has been s&s, yesterday’s still damp washing has been turned. Apart from that, the entire morning has been spent with lists, trying to start on this Christmas mularky. 2 shops have been booked with Mr M for December, DH has ordered the chicken from the local butcher last week, I have a list for MnS as DH has a discount voucher to use. A start anyway. And our Christmasses do get smaller every year, so I’m probably further ahead than it feels.
This afternoon will be spent with either the knitting needles or the sewing machine. Or maybe the Christmas cards, but I think I’ve had my fill of that for today.8 -
It stopped raining so I've been to Mr Al and done a big shop, and dropped off the birthday card for D's 21st tomorrow. All groceries have been put away.
Also been to the Jungle to order presents for L's Christmas and birthday.
Good thing it's payday this week!!!
