This has been a chaotic week, and I feel like I have lost a few days. After getting the kids to school this morning, I dealt with the man collecting the scrap that had been lying outside for many years. Then, I took some time to sit and sort through some paperwork while catching up on some TV from this week.
My plan for the rest of the day
Do paid stuff
Laundry - 2 loads
Empty the study bin
Sort through uni folders and file paperwork in the correct place - Work In Progress
S&S bathroom
Wash up dishes, dry and put away
Sort Mr T order for delivery tomorrow
Spend an hour on the assignment for uni
I think that is everything that I need to get done today. Hope everyone is having a lovely Friday.

- Really made the effort last night and emptied/reloaded the DW.
- Also did a clear away of the kitchen tops - so much nicer to wake up to this morning.
- Birds fed, bins done and managed to toddle into town for that errand.
- Folded the washing and put the racks away. Duvet cover, sheets and pillowcase all folded up inside the other pillowcase.
- Still haven't collected that prescription or made those appointments but I can probably do those online over the weekend.
Have a great weekend everyone, stay warm and dry. Storm Bert on the way."Think of many things, do one"

Sorted out some outstanding bills and paperwork and started making up the superking. I heard Wren whining outside the door, opened it to find her and both cat queuing to come in and play. I can't trust the cats in the letting rooms so I let Wren in on her own. All I had to do was shake up the duvet and the bed was made - she decided she needed to have a game on the bed so that was that.
Better is good enough.7 -
This week has been so tough for work and getting everything sorted for the house. I'm still digging myself out of the paperwork pile.
Today's successes - I made dinner and kept my 'no take out streak' (two months and counting!).
I did another section of the mortgage paperwork.
I cleaned out a section of my dresser which means I can now put more laundry away properly.
I will come back tomorrow for Saturday's list as I'll be back in the saddle then.
(Also, decided to be very MoneySavingExpert - bought new curtains (but only those in the sale) to keep my house warmer and reduce the heating bill, used a cashback website to get some money back, and got one of those nifty duvets that does two seasons to a) save money by investing sensibly in just one item and b) decided to put the old one in the roof after airing it so it won't be cluttering up downstairs - it'll be the spare bed duvet now, so no need to buy a new one in three months.)7 -
Morning all xx
Do you have snow? Wet here. I hope you are all snug and cabinned in safely.
I was up before 7. Of course I was. Absolutely no plans for the day; could have stayed in bed til Strictly starts, but no. 💡 5.50am wide awake. I snuggled down for an hour's thinking under the duvet but after that hour I needed a brew. Result of thinking: I'd like me to walk more. I'd like me to hoover more. Where does the stuff spit out by black holes come from? Regular thinking for a Round. 😊.
So. I'm up, made my bed, completed Wordle in five, completed Connections with one life lost, completed Strands with no hints needed, and I've supped my first brew.

Morning all,
I’m creeping back into the fold, if I may, after an erratic couple of weeks.
DD was discharged from hospital earlier in the week, on crutches and meds for a good few weeks yet. We took her back to uni city - her choice, exams are looming and she has used her hospital stay to study. Drove her back in a near blizzard, snow here, a couple of very frosty drives to and from work (-3 when I left work one evening at 5pm!), and today the wind is getting up and it’s raining.
Flying has taken a back seat, but as we haven’t been here a great deal, the house doesn’t look too bad. C-word prep has come to nothing, so I might consider that if I cba this weekend.
Onwards and upwards - the wm is swishing, we are apparently moving the fridge freezer from its temporary DR home of 2 years (!!) to the utility where it belongs at some point this weekend. That involves DH taking a door off…
Valli, I hope you had a fabulous day at DD’s graduation.
It might be a 3 cuppa morning, if anyone fancies putting kettle on and joining me 😉 x7 -
Rather stormy start to the day, no snow but very windy and wet. It's a day for staying indoors and getting stuff done.
My list for today
Deal with Mr T delivery
Wash dishes, dry and put away
Make a start on uni prep for next week
Spend an hour on uni assignment
Laundry - 2 loads
Make a start on festive present shopping
Speak to DH regarding logistics
Think that is everything that I need to get completed today, hope everyone has a lovely weekend.
