Got back on last night, hammered through the insta advents, then got all of today's done, then got a message to say that 'That would make a wonderful gift' was spam and that I'm banned again for three days. Ah well, never mind.

Instagram has got terrible for this recently. Also: "The comment might try to get likes, follows, shares or video views in a misleading way"... Surely all of the competition promoters asking for people to share and tag are doing the same? Yet they don't get hit. Part of me wonders if people/bots are reporting comments as spam, perhaps to give themselves a better chance? I wonder what would happen if we all reported all of the competition posts as spam for trying to get shares in a misleading way?

My account nearly got deleted tonight, I had to appeal for it to be reinstated 😫 it's my personal one too so I would have been gutted. I'm now on a 3 day comment ban instead.

It's so frustrating, especially when some of the comps literally encourage spamming.

I'm wondering whether there should be a sub-board for social media comps, given how few us us can enter the many IG comps being posted on the main board!

Sign me up to the IG 3 day ban group! Threatened with deletion which got resolved uber fast & now I'm banned. Makes me sad that the companies can ask for ALL the tags and then us users pay the price.

Reinstated today,  only find myself banned after just four competitions entered. It does not even say how long I'm banned for this time?   But It's to protect other uses! 😂

Is there a membership badge available? I've just joined the 3-day banned group! I went through security, email, and my phone number and they said all was good. When I tried to tag, I got the 3-day ban message again.
