Instagram bans

It seems I can't even go near Instagram without getting banned. As soon as I tag a few people I get banned for three days. I'm not excessive and have started doing it slowly so as not to spam a post. It's becoming that it's not worth doing the insta comps anymore as I get banned all the time. Any tips?

Do you ever post normal content, do you ever tag people in non promotional content, do you think the people you tag in spam promotional posts are potentially flagging you as spam?

I too had a recent and first ban/restrictions (no comments) for 3 days. Quite annoying. I went through the security checks etc and also changed my password thinking that might be picked up as normal activity.

I'm on a ban until tomorrow. I now a lot of people are setting up a 2nd account now so they can comp from that one while their other is on a ban

I’ve also been banned for 3 days, and my account was suspended which I appealed successfully. I have comped on insta for a long time now, this is my first 3 day ban but it happens the most around November / December. 

It’s very frustrating, and I see other people seemingly tagging far more than I do without ban! I agree that it’s starting to become demoralising which isn’t the point of the hobby, but so many comps and advents especially are now on insta

I'm suffering the same issue. I just came off a 3 day ban and I post non comp stuff on my account etc. but this morning I'm restricted from posting again

I got back on this morning after a suspension followed by a ban, replied to a post with an inncouous comment, it got removed and I am banned again!

During my frequent trips to Instagram Jail,i have come to the conclusion that I am now liberated from them.

I don't want it any more and I would suggest that any one organising a competition reviews Instagram's involvement in Rafflecopter,Gleam etc.alongside the use of its' other social media as a whole.

The social media market is changing quickly as we've seen with the flood of people from X to Bluesky.  Instagram could go from hero to zero in an instant.

What is the point of allowing a competition but banning its customers from entering it ?

I'm thinking I'm really going to cut down on my Advent comps this year because so many are now IG.  I managed to avoid being banned last year, but I'm not sure I want to risk it this time!
