I've just been banned again for three days, as the word pod is spam - apparently! That's me out of the first day of the advents then. I'm starting to think that for my own mental health, I need to stop using Instagram, which is a great shame, as there are so many good comps on there

That's crazy! Yes - so many comps there now and some good ones, but I wonder with so many people being on social media and it being so easy to enter (if you don't get banned, that is!) that it's hardly worth entering? Mind you, someone has to be picked and it could be you!

I'm giving them a miss completely this year. I didn't win anything at all last year and ended up with a few bans. I decided to book a holiday instead and I come home after they have started. When I get home I have an overnighter as well as going to see Culture Club.

Sounds like a good idea! I didn't win anything last year either, and I spent so long doing all the IG ones in a way to avoid a ban - like spreading out the following of accounts and tagging people throughout the day...which was a big investment of time and for no reward in the end!

Thanks we are having an amazing time and booked whilst here to come back next year as Tui have black friday offers on which suited us perfectly.

Banned after about 10-15 advent posts this morning (successfully appealed but still banned until the 4th from posting)

I've just been banned as well Day 1 of advents after only a handful of entries. Does anyone have a way around this or advice on how to minimise the chance of getting a ban?

I posted this morning on 4 insta advent comps then hit with a ban/ permanent deletion of account unless successful appeal which was granted within seconds after a code to my email and to my phone, not much of an appeal process when I didn't even get to comment or explain ! But Im still banned from posting till the 4th December.  Fastest ever ban at chrimbo time !
It annoying as majority of advent comps seem to be on social media these days & every company on there seems to be running a comp, some which ask for multiple friend tags. All of which insta allows, but then bans people who engage with them !

I have been banned until 4th I only entered 3 advent comps today and only tagged one person in each, this was my backup account as I do not want to get banned on my normal one as my family and friends from USA are on that one
I am now only doing certain ones now, and really doing most on my Twitter/X as you dont seem to get banned form there
I do a few on FB but am careful

I'm so jittery about Instagram now - I was hit last week in the mass banning but hadn't actually tagged that much. what makes it worse is so many accounts that I have flagged as spam etc are still up and running - hey ho.
