Wishful thinking. 

AO will not have been paid by Homebase for appliance orders which is why none have been delivered.

It's just a waiting game that's alright for them to tell you that it's not them that has to go through all the upheaval. The finance company want me to fill out a section 75 form does that mean they are planning to pay homebase for everything even although I'm waiting on my AO order and I have to claim back for what I don't have yet.

No, that means they will look at your claim to get the money back.

Well, we had a call yesterday from Homebase assuring us that our kitchen is on track however will be delivered later than previously expected, about a month late in fact. We also queried the AO.com angle and we were told that that should be resolved shortly especially as we took the IFC option and the finance company haven’t released a penny yet and if AO.com don’t play ball then Section 75 comes into play for that part of the sale and we can source them ourselves which is no bother but we obviously need to know in good time so that they’re here to install.

Worth noting that they called us rather then we chasing them which is encouraging I suppose but we’re taking the relaxed view of it arrives when it arrives and go from there. As we’re also using one of their recommended fitters, he’s been cool with everything and he’s been liasing with them so that he knows what’s going on regarding his own schedule and he seems a pretty confident it will work out.

Does seem that there will be a last minute dash to get everything in time as we want to start ordering additional stuff like floor tiles, radiators, etc but are reluctant too in case it doesn’t work out with Homebase.

oh well, ce la vie I suppose.

I Just wish they would confirm that AO won't be paid, and a  refund is in process, then I can buy them direct, from AO, knowing I shall get the money eventually, but hopeful it will get sorted, I keep emailing homebase to chase them up.

If AO don’t get paid they won’t refund you either as they have no money.
