Homebase Kitchen Order

I paid for a Homebase kitchen in October with my credit card  - being delivered in January - I could have had it before Christmas but had no space but now Homebase is in administration - please can anyone guide me as to my best course of action? Thanks in advance

Right now, it is probably best to wait as Homebase, or the administrators will be in touch with some information (which will also be in the press in a generic way).
Some of the stores and the brand seem to have been brought out - if that goes ahead as indicated, the new owners may honour contracts.
The fact you paid by CC may mean that you have better options than otherwise, the exact options will depend on the amount paid and the total anticipated order value.

    At the moment nothing.
\it is a case of waiting and see what you get told about your order going forward.

CC will tell you that, as until more information is known. Then nothing will be done.

As paid on CC you will be covered via chargeback if Kitchen does not turn up.

Sit tight.  As advised above, the situation isn't fully clear and the eventual outcome will determine next steps for you.  You're financially in a good position if your credit is the type that comes with S75 protection.

    Who's message?

As they are coming from AO, then that is where I would be contacting, as they should be able to give you the status of delivery, or not.

  • My situation is  similar in terms of kitchen order placed in October to be delivered in January (because of the limited availability for the  company supposed to fit the kitchen) I paid via a finance for £10,300 with Novuna, that I assume have been paid in full to Homebase at the moment of my order. Do I have any way to protect my money?

If your finance is of the sort that carries Section 75 protection, then you have that.  If it was a personal loan you've used to buy the kitchen, I don't think that carries protection.
