We are just going round and round in circles with no contact from homebase shop assistants can not help .We have the kitchen in which is great waiting for all appliances from AO and a work tops …. As a family of 4 this is costing a rather lot of money with eating take aways and ready meals . We have loaned a fridge from friends..
I know not the only one in this situation ..
But this could take weeks to sort . I bought on finance have been on phone to them could do claim 75 but that could take weeks . Its all a mess… Its just so frustrating ….. Why no communication from homebase at all
Any communication will be via administrator's. Homebase has gone.

TBH, start the S75 at least that has the ball rolling.

    Who is fitting the kitchen?

  • If I fit my kitchen I will have nowhere to put the cooker washing machine dishwasher that I am using just now they are all freestanding and being replaced by built in appliances
  • born again . We have a kitchen fitter doing the kitchen and another man doing work top via homebase . How do we get to speak to the admins tractors…. We are happy to ho out and get the appliances but worried we will have to still pay for the others .

I cant fit my kitchen because I've got no white goods to put in there...
No, that's not how it works.

You fit the kitchen first. Cupboards, housings, trim panels, worktops. White goods can't go in until housings and worktops have been installed. Integrated units are designed for and can only be fitted into standard housings after installation.
I think that is what I was trying to say with my post a couple of lines upthread.

I think, also, the OP's response was connecting the white goods with the kitchen units in a "commercial" sense rather than "practical" sense - it seems as though the finance company have suggested it is all or nothing as one order but not possible to cancel only the white goods portion and keep the kitchen portion.
If that is the case, it will be very frustrating for all those affected.  One would like to assume that a good dose of common sense will prevail eventually.

I'm not sure there's much hope of any sense from the company formally known as homebase. In the absence of any news from kitchen I decided to start a PayPal dispute over my missing wet wall for the bathroom. Homebase have told paypal the order is for a toilet, and that I've taken delivery of it. Not only have I NOT EVER placed an order for a toilet from homebase but I have certainly never taken delivery of a toilet from homebase. Clearly their record keeping is all over the place. So I've just got to wait and see what PayPal decide to do with that one. It's quite frustrating as clearly their paperwork says one thing and mine another. But the delivery of the wet wall was all booked until they went into administration and the homebase customer service line even agrees it's a wet wall order.... But whoever is responding to PayPal seems to be on a different planet.

Surely there's a more cost-effective solution than ready meals and takeaways?  Could you borrow or even buy an air-fryer to use in place of an oven?  A camping hob can be bought for about £20.  They'll almost certainly pay for themselves over the coming weeks and you could use or sell them afterwards.  Much healthier than takeaways and ready meals, too.

In the same boat, no confirmed delivery yet due starting 11th Dec AO on hold, and work surface on hold, just get email saying we are dealing with it, yet they have been paid in full, if they can't fulfil the contract just refund in full.
