    So I have got a mediation call next Friday 28th. I am assuming that a hearing date will be set after this and at this point I will need to put together a witness statement.

    i have gone back over the 12 steps but can’t see the section what happens next which talks about the mediation call.

    Its definitely in the newbies sticky thread,  as well as in the 12 steps in 8 and 9

    Plus there are numerous anecdotes in other threads over the last 6 months since it became compulsory last summer

    That's very odd.  It's clearly in the 12 steps in the Template Defence thread...

    so had my mediation call this afternoon. Gentleman was very polite. The claimant charge is for £319 and they advised he mediator that they would settle at £290. I laughed and stated my case and offered £10 + 50p which was the original charge for the 10 minute stay back in 2020. They hung up and and spoke again with claimant who them came down to £250. I said no again and i will take it to court. Will keep you posted

    WITHOUT PREJUDICE SAVE AS TO COSTS

     

    We write to you in relation to the above matter.

     

    To assist the Court in achieving its overriding objective, our Client may be prepared to settle this case. I can confirm our Client would be agreeable to £100.00 in full and final settlement of this Claim. The current outstanding balance is £341.80.

    Upon receipt of the settlement sum of £100.00 we will update the Court that the matter has been settled. If you are not agreeable, we will continue to follow the Court process as normal.
