But otherwise if the offer is live when you applied then I'd be surprised if they didn't honour it. Just make sure you meet all of the other terms of the offer within the required timeframes.

I got the switch offer for switching into an Everyday.

I only asked as a "basic" account has a very particular meaning in banking circles. The Santander Everyday account is
their fee-free "standard" current account (for lack of a better way to describe it), which is different from the Santander basic account (typically only offered to people with poor credit history or who otherwise can't obtain a normal current account). The Santander basic account is not eligible for the switching offer whilst the Santander Everyday account is eligible. The poster has confirmed they have applied for the Everyday account, so everything is ok.

No, that's fair enough, I didn't tbh realise they had a more basic account. Just thought it would be reassuring to know it actually came to pass with an Everyday account.

I've just applied for the switch but it doesn't say anything on the site about the cashback at the moment. 

Can anyone confirm if the offer still valid today?

Do you mean the switching bonus when stating  cashback?
If yes, then as long as you started the switch before  the offer ends, you should be OK.

Looks like goatfaced prediction on this thread yesterday was correct and the offer might have been pulled today.

If it wasn't on their site when you started the switch then you might not get it.

Says Switch offer lasts until 23:59 hrs tonight.

It had gone from the site, and also from MSE, when my husband looked at around 6pm. He assumed he'd missed it even though it was before 23:59

For anyone interested: Switch requested in early December for the 30th December. Switch was started on the 30th December and completed on the 8th January. Paid £1500+ some time in December and in mid-January to be on the safe side. Bonus landed on the 31st January (which I have noticed only just  ) .
