I have 2 Edge Current accounts plus a 123 lite current account and I was allowed to open a new everyday current account and set up the switch to it. I didn`t use one of my Edge CA`s because the new DD`s and £1500 deposit would have triggered the £3 fee which I have so far avoided.

It's the combination of paying £500 into the account and having 2x DDs pay out in a single month which triggers the monthly fee. If you don't do both of those things in the same month then the fee won't be charged. To get around this, you stagger the £1500 payin and DD set up over two months. In the first month you complete the switch and pay in the £1500, and then in the 2nd month (before the 60 day time limit) you set up the DDs but don't pay in £500. You have then qualified for the switch offer but won't be charged the monthly fee.1

In my case the DD`s were already up and running in my donor account.I hope my records on not benefitting from a switch since before 2021 are correct. At what stage would I know if I have made a mistake and will not gain the £150?0

You still have to wait for the 60 days from the date you asked Santander to start your switch for your account to be assessed for the bonus whether you set up the DDs on the 9th Feb or towards the end of Feb.1 -

Anybody heard anything about getting paid incentive yet?0

I am somewhat puzzled by T&C. I read it as one should deposit 1500GBP within 60 days of the day when the switch was requested, i.e. if on the 1st of December you put a request for the switch on 1st of January, then you have entire December and most of January to deposit 1500GBP. I also understand that it doesn't matter when you ask for DD to be setup - as long they are there before 29th of January. Perhaps I misunderstood their wording?
