  • Sadly my switch incentive payment was rejected as the eagle eyed SANTANDER noted Id had an incentive in November 2021, oh well, I did get the Quidco £22.50 cashback payable this week so nothing ventured nothing gained springs to mind.

I applied for the switch on 28/12/24, it was completed on the 08/01/25. Hopefully any day now, do you get an email to say they have paid or does it just appear in the account?

Your account will be assessed 60 days after instructing Santander to start the switch. So around the end of February. They then have up to 30 days to pay the bonus (assuming you qualify), though they usually pay it much sooner than this. No email.

Your dates are similar to mine and I just received my £150 a couple of hours ago.

It's the combination of paying £500 into the account and having 2x DDs pay out in a single month which triggers the monthly fee. If you don't do both of those things in the same month then the fee won't be charged.

To get around this, you stagger the £1500 payin and DD set up over two months. In the first month you complete the switch and pay in the £1500, and then in the 2nd month (before the 60 day time limit) you set up the DDs but don't pay in £500. You have then qualified for the switch offer but won't be charged the monthly fee.
This worked perfectly and I got my bonus yesterday, thanks. I wouldn't have known about this so thanks for the info.
