It's probably common knowledge but my switch completed today, so I moved £1500 in and straight out of the account. Then went on the online chat to check I'd met the criteria and they said they money needs to be in the account for a minimum of 24 hours for it to register.0

"We reserve the right to not make the payment if we suspect the switcher offer is being abused".
I wonder what their definition of "being abused" is.

Any idea when this might close? Thinking of setting up 2 direct debits on my dormant account before I make a switch, but that could take 5-7 days.
Edit; just checked, there doesn't have to be existing DD's on the account you're switching from. Just need to set up new DD's on the Santander account0 -

Currently with Chase and have my DD`S in a Santander 123 Lite account
Im thinking of switching away from Chase to Santander to get the £150 Incentive and the 1% bills/Debit Card spending is it worth it ?0 -

I have everything in and out of the current chase account except the DD`s on the Lite account which attract 1/2/3% which i would transfer to the Santander Edge account (with the £150 incentive) If I went to Santander it would mean the end of my banking with chase so I don't understand why you recommend a burner account with chase0
