movement goal
am very tired today and even f!tb!t says I should be taking a rest day! so minimal movement planned
also pleased to see half of the xmas weight gain has shifted after only a week of 'normality' - it was not the goal when trying to re-implement good movement habits, but a nice side effect
--------------------
This morning started off with a power tidy of the house, attempting to put out all the recycling (a success) and the rubbish (not a success). The lid on the rubbish bin was frozen shut with a layer of ice so will have to wait and try again at mid-day break. This week's grocery shop arrived bright and early, as OH is currently not able to take this on during a day I'm in the office. He managed to tackle the eggs into the basket and made us coffees and breakfasts while I put everything away. So nice start to the day with a new-to-us rythmn found.
Then on to a slowish start to the working day - bosslady is off for the day so I was able to have a no-stress morning - hooray! - a good pace for me atm - rest of the day will be pomodoros - little bites of work with little breaks of movement/chores.

ETA - upper management sent out the e-mail letter to all staff about redundancies today - it was harsh - I'm glad I'm not in the office to hear the annoyance it will have caused.4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! Prompted by a conversation on Ed's thread I found out the following info today...
Posting it here so as not to clutter his thread! ...Here are the specific rules about opening and funding ISAs at a single bank:Key Rules for One Bank (2025/26 Tax Year)- Multiple Accounts: You can open and pay into more than one of the same type of ISA (e.g., two Cash ISAs) with the same provider in a single tax year.
- Provider Constraints: While HMRC rules allow it, some banks (e.g., Santander, HSBC, Lloyds, Barclays) may still restrict you to paying into only one of each type of ISA with them per tax year. Always check specific provider terms.
- Annual Limit: Your total contributions to all ISAs (whether at one bank or multiple) cannot exceed the £20,000 annual allowance.
- Lifetime ISA Exception: You can only pay into one Lifetime ISA per tax year.
- Transfers: You can open a new ISA to transfer in funds from previous years' ISAs without affecting your current year's allowance.
- Account Ownership: ISAs can only be held in a single name (no joint ISAs).
Key Considerations- Age Limit: You must be 18 or over to open an adult ISA.
- Flexibility: Some ISAs are "flexible," meaning you can withdraw money and replace it within the same tax year without it counting towards your £20,000 limit. If the account is not flexible, replacing money counts towards the limit.
- Interest Rates: If you hold multiple fixed-rate cash ISAs with one bank, each may have different maturity dates and rates.
- Non-Automatic Closure: ISAs do not automatically close at the end of the tax year; you can continue to pay into them (if permitted by the bank) or open a new one.
Glad I looked that up - some really good things to remember in all that info!4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! Thanks for the ISA info, also may be worth looking into transferring inherited ISAs. I didn't do this because of the whole intestate/no probate/time pressure but as I understand it I could have transferred his ISAs to my name and kept the 'wrapper' on them.My mortgage free diary: +++ Divide by Cucumber Error.
