Not just me then, who wouldn't regular weed our path as our previous neighbours were horrid and it annoyed them, sounds very petty I know, also none of us wanted to be out there working as they always felt they had to comment and never managed to understand that we were not required to landscape our garden in a way that suited their tastes and didn't reflect the setting at all.

Thankfully the new owners are nothing like the previous people and we are now comfortable using our garden.

Good job explaining to receptionist you pay her salary, I am increasingly tired of the "attitude" offered up and good job re AVC too. Can medical insurance not be part of a redundancy package? For a given time? Say 5 years? It would maybe cost the company a lot less (just a thought that occurred as I was reading).

@Baileys_babe - yes precisely why I have a one foot high ragwort growing in the cracks of my front step - not to mention that it is good food for flying insects being one of the best natural sources of nectar for them! (or at least that's what i'm prepared to say if she challenges it again) - in fact i read something about it being the only food source for the cinnabar moth - I actually told her last Friday that I was leaving it there to see if her partner would trespass again! I'm more than happy to have more fuel for the fire - I operate a ZERO tolerance policy now.

@Watty1 - that is a brilliant thought about the medical insurance and redundancy - I've asked the insurance company and they said the employer can propose to them as an option - but that the insurance company may or may not agree. - I may however save that as a point for discussion at my legal appointment! Keep all good ideas coming please!

So I'm feeling very pleased with myself - I dug out my title deed and had a look at the right of ways across my land. Both are pedestrian only which means Mr PG cannot bring a bike across my land and Mrs PG cannot transport goods in a wheelbarrow! - Go me - and go the three blokes who had the deed written up in 1975! Pedestrian only means just that - on your own two feet.

A bunch of randomness for today…

Morning spent at work - all of 3 hours - fired off 2 e-mails that gave me peace of mind - they are formalities in the redundancy process, but proved that I actually know more than our HR department does, isn't it always the way?

I succumbed to my inner tidy self and weeded the front steps this evening in preparation for the grocery delivery man! Thought the two foot high ragwort was a bit much, even for me! As I got to the bottom step and started to pull the prickly sow thistles, I heard MrPG at his front window and out of the corner of my eye caught him staring! He is such a creep - gives me the heebiejebbies!!!!! I've also cleared up the retaining wall planter and all the spent bluebell leaves are now destined for the green bin!

Ordered two unusual clematis, the one from Scotland arrived dead and I'm persuing a refund - the other from a different supplier is tiny but very much alive. I'll be putting together the arbour/planter this weekend! Think I should stick with the plant nursery at the end of our road for the fillers - they are a bit pricey but everything is the best quality and they are an independant! Several of the plants in our garden are from them and were planted by previous owners - I do hate tags on plants so ththose have gone in the recycle bin.

We were at the lawyer's AGAIN earlier today over the disposal of one of OH's jointly owned assets. I made a point that the Ex could deal with him now or wait and deal with me and if it is me, it will cost her more than it's worth as I'll be seeing her in court not wasting time and effort in the back and forth! Our lawyer was in hysterics as she knew I was not kidding! Also have fired off an e-mail to the wills solicitor as we have to make changes yet again! I'm rather annoyed that the wills department at our firm of choice is currently backlogged for two months, but at least the other firm comes highly recommended!

Well today has not gone to plan - have been in ER with the OH since 2pm - we came by ambulance and now gone 11pm we are still here in resucitation with no plans for ICU until tomorrow.

Thanks sweetie - turns out it is better in ER than ICU as I get to stay with him here but not in the ward! II'm soooooo exhausted but there is air conditioning even if the vending machines are broken and I'm soooooo hungry!

Glad you can stay at least. Although I hope someone takes pity and finds you some food very soon! Can you do a JustEat order?? Probably not really what you're thinking of right now but I bet someone would deliver to the hospital? Or don't supermarkets do those dashing immediate orders m now? You know, where they'll just bring you atwix and a packet of loo roll from the co op?
