Hey RT, I'm just catching up with your news - and I'm so sorry to hear that you & OH have so much to take in, digest, and deal with. Well aware that there's nothing to say that can make things "better" but keep dealing with things as suits you both - when MrEH was so poorly back in August I had to several times underline to medical staff that no, we deal with things via black humour, that's our way, and they needed to back off the disapproving looks. We were well aware that things were serious, but weeping, wailing and gnashing of teeth wasn't going to help either of us to deal with everything! Once told, in fairness, they "got it" - and there were a few folk who clearly also dealt with things in a similar way as they were perfectly happy to "join in" and clearly enjoyed doing so.
As everyone else has said - we're always here. xx🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

@edinburgher - haha - that did make both of us laugh! - thanks for the chuckle - luckily that was a centre run by a private company that charges the NHS for it's services - that were not only polite and kind, they also had a self-service hot beverage machine which was a good thing as I was waiting for 3.5 hours while they did their thing!
@EssexHebridean - I'm so pleased to hear that we are not the only ones with a dark humour - I have learned with my work colleagues that I need to be very careful who I share that kind of humour with! Some of what I shared was brutally honest and raw but very funny to me - not every one sees it that way!
On the way home from the big city south of us, we were both starved so went to a services McD's and made use of the App & the service to car option (OH was told to avoid going near anyone under 18 while still full of the magic potion) - it really was a fun experience, reminding me of the drive-ins of my youth back across the pond. (Don't tell anyone, but I may want to do it again - lol)
We've taken to the real chicken breast tenders - and who knew that you can get a side salad, a bag of apples or cucumber and leave off all the sauces from burgers to make them less gloopy! There is also an option of milk with your meal - who knew there were ways of making fast food healthier? Technology is an amazing thing. Simple pleasures for simple minds I guess! Oh, and the apple pies - they are still fried and full of molten lava - it's been over 35 years since I've had one and it somehow did not disappoint!4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! That sounds like a long day @rtandon27, a drive-through MaccieD's was probably the ideal way to round it off. I remember those apple pies, eating them at their best was a health and safety hazard.
Hope you can both settle to a good night's sleep now.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Also a fan of black humour, but unfortunately for me, Mr C often isn't 😬 when we do occasionally find ourselves in dire straits me laughing often does NOT help... 😬 (thankfully my sister usually supplies enough of my similar sense of humour that I can sympathise appropriately with Mr C)
Glad to hear the molten lava apple pies are still going - I've not had one for about 35 years either but I remember them well!5
