Well up with the birds and out in the garden before it got hot! - a good 1 hour possibly more of free exercise has been had.
Daisy patch has been taken down as it is done flowering for the year.
Errant raspberries & blackberries have been culled.
Volunteer trees have also been culled, though one survived as it picked a sensible place to grown and is now almost 6 foot so taked it
Apple tree branches that have no fruit have been pruned.
Managed to get at the fir branches the PGs cut down last autumn and add them to the green bin - there will be no repeat of that overstep!
Managed to also have a go at their honeysuckle - as beautiful as it is, it had attached itself to my shed roof and blocked access to the side of my shed so the offending bits got cut back! Also gave the side eye to several of their flowering plants highly amused that while there are no blossoms on their side, there are plenty poking through and over the fence into mine!
Green bin is now full to the top - hoping it reduces by about 1/3 this week as there is plenty more to fill it - the grass may be dormant atm but the rest of the garden is lush and green and in need of some pruning.4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! Well what a surprise this morning, when OH decided he was going to see if the car was still operational after over a month of collecting cobwebs! He's also asked me to dig out the portable sling for his 02 canister & I've put the 'free to us' first aid kit together and re-ordereed the bits that were expired, such as saline eyewash.
Third weekend of the month & I've paid off the credit card and shuffled money. Currently moving money straight from my pay into my pension pot within the AVC wrapper. OH currently covering the shortfall with his funds so not a huge issue, but I've suddenly realized just how frugal we really are! When we spend we do so thoughtfully.
Have also realized that the mortgage has been reduced by another month - woohoo - and that is with minimal OP's - just enough to cover the interest charged. Off to update my signature.4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! (24 OCT 2016)(With heartfelt thanks to those who have gone before us & their indubitable generosity.)...and now I have a mortgage! So a little update on one of the balls I'm juggling…
At OH's request I've taken on his POA financial & property - this means that I have the unpleasant joy of dealing with a shady estate agent, a conveyancer who when questioned on her inabliity to engage, pulled out of the transaction & of course the ex-wife who engaged the two of them. Everything uncharitable that OH has ever said about her in our 20 years together is proving to be true. Difference is she does not push my buttons - I don't get mad, I get even - I don't subscribe to anything unlawful or even the sligthest bit shady taking place under my watch and I don't turn a blind eye. If is is not in the best interest of OH then there is no agreement!
now for the other ones…
1) OH's medical - he is almost at the point for the 9 month scans - so this will happen next
2) redundancy - I have nothing good to say about the process so will zip it for now - thank you past me for building up a nest egg!
3) legal - we need to tweak our wills - this is today's battle
2) continued private health - omg - this will cost more than my current net salary - per month - horrendous price given that OH will have a medical disregard
3) my own medical appointments - am catching up on the ones i've not booked yet and have several follow-ups over the next two months
4) PALS complaint - received a response - not today's issue
5) B&Q chargeback - sigh - I will never buy from their market place
Now i'm going to keep fingers and toes and everything crossed for that 1 million pound prize draw that my bank has put on while they restructure!4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! If you are acting as Attorney RT, you have no choice but to ensure everything is completely legal, above board and in OH's interests. She doesn't have any grounds to object to any of that, even if she wants to!
Tweaking of wills is usually not cost effective - it may be as well to simply get new ones. Relatively few firms do codicils now in any event as much as anything because they can cause issues down the line. New professionally drafted wills which do everything you need and want them to do are usually considered the best way to avoid ambiguity.
Allowing that you are the second person here to have issues with B&Q's market place recently I am adding them to my "don't touch with someone else's bargepole" list!

Thanks for the wills advice EH - I do indeed mean redoing them - our wills lawyer is a gem - not charging us much as she is aware of the background and why it needs doing them! - in my head it is tweaking as really not much is getting done - just a clause in OH's and a removal of one of the benificiaries in both! She's leading - I just have to read them over but am feeling put upon given everything else that is happening atm! OH is driving me mad in all ways through no fault of his own, including with this!
As for the EX - there is absolutely nothing I can say in her defense - she is a nasty manipulative piece of work! OH is of sound mind but he's just so dang tired with all the health issues that he'd rather not have to try and deal with that too. Our POA's have been in place for years - neither of us has needed or wanted to invoke them until now!4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! That's such a lot for you to carry, @rtandon27 . I hope you can find a bit of space for yourself.
FWIW, POAs really are a gamechanger. It makes things a lot more straightforward. Your wills lawyer sounds like a gem, too.

POAs are indeed a game changer. I have been in & out of hospital for the last few months with the same thing & kept getting not even half a story. My sister warned me not to lose my temper, it was getting very close. So she did it for me. My previous discharge notes had implied that I was shouting ouch when I wasn't hurt. The last one after she had had conversations with various more senior doctors, actually gave a proper diagnosis. She had actually forgotten that I did a POA over 10 years ago, but they were so slapdash they never even thought to check.
They were so useless that I am thinking of going & staying out of area if I need admitting again. Even my lying ex never told me as many lies as those doctors did.

Today's updates...
Lovely lawyer wrote back immediately on Wednesday and we are booked in a zoom call for this afternoon!
Redundancy is still all-consuming and a pain in the backside!
At some point this week I told politely the estate agent to back off - I work during the week and will review his e-mail and questions on the weekend. As I seem to have hit a nerve when I pointed out actions he'd taken (that are frankly illegal) and not in OH's best interest, he's just going to have to get in line - I have better things to do with my time than to give into his pressure - think used car salesman & I'm happy for him to sit and sweat while we decide what our next steps are.4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! I hope it's a very productive phone call this afternoon and one thing off your mind.
