No rain and a weak sun doing it's best so I took 3 books back to the library, one to the information desk because it had loose pages. Carried on to the Red Cross with 2 large carrier bags of mainly papercraft and then to the GPO to pay a bill. Lots of rest breaks needed. Came back down the main pedestrianised street and called in the wading bird shop for a few bits and 10 carrier bags (easiest way to move cs donations on my walker and the cs will have them for customers afterwards. Will collect and bag up more things this evening including things the food bank might be able to use - cleaning stuff, rolls of foil etc which I use a lot less than mum did. Beloved bought some more even though there were 3 in the cupboard - and bay leaves although I have a bush outside and mixed herbs when there's a tall square jar full.
Ate 2 ready salads when I got in. Expensive but it's an easy way to get lots of different veg in me (Mexican rice with avocado and pink coleslaw). Very tired now but should be able to do a bit more.
Grateful for getting things out of the house, nibbling away at bigger jobs, hot water for showers.10 -
Today was a good day.
Boilerman (worst but safest superhero ever) messaged me this morning to ask if he could service the boiler in the next hour as he was on a job in my area. Erm, nope! Not at home, haven't washed the kitchen floor and had 4 loads of of clean, dry, but unfolded laundry lying in various baskets. He is coming tomorrow. His own fault for not getting back to me last week, I will not be ignored!
Did volunteering, then did a small food shop, forgot all the important things, even had to stop off on the way home and buy the very important loaf of bread I forgot 😁 useless! Got it y/s though 👍.
Garland hung on uppermost landing and secured.
Few baubles put on tree - still lots of time yet.
Hung a string of lights on the long hall wall, hung a line of thick twine as well. Sewed replacement ties onto 5 cloth advent calendars, hung calenders, realised that I need a nail to keep it at the right level 3/4 of the way along but looks good so far.
Folded and returned the laundry ( oh the shame 😁)
Hoovered the floor
Used up lots of fridge tat and leftovers.
So the jobs still to do tonight will be
to mop the floor
move two bicycles to the shed
attach a large quantity of purple baubles to a very disappointing plastic wreath structure. It will go on my very ugly uPVC front door. The more of it it covers the better.

Good morning turtles. I think I'm still on NSD 12. lost one yesterday as I ordered my Dad a birthday card... bit pricey but had a 20% offer code. It probably still works out cheaper than sending one from here and easy to create with a photo.
Will try for NSD 13 today.
I am going to see a mortgage broker at lunchtime. Decided now that the exam is over I need to get a wriggle on with starting the house buying process (if am not laughed out of the bank) I am not quite there yet with the deposit but it also depends on if I can take advantage of a govt scheme.
Grateful for a beautiful sunrise this morning, (the photo obvs doesn't do it justice) for the dog's silly antics, for coffee.Student loan £5655
House deposit €32,667K/€40k10 -

apple_muncher said:ldee, would you consider getting your mum one of those alarms you wear round your neck?Today I am grateful for a much warmer day, for spending time with lovely people, for a fab chat with big sis, for ordering a curtain pole to put up my vntd curtains and gain some privacy at the back of the house, for Pip's friend's dad dropping him home after the cinema.NST 🐢 & MF before 40 🤸5

NSD 10 today.
OH is working away for a couple of days so I am fully intending to be in my bed with a book by 8! Had my Covid and flu vaccines today so it may not be the most comfortable of sleeps but hey ho!
Grateful today for lunch at Mum's, for getting washing cleared, for a V!ntD payout (still waiting on a 7p survey on PA), and for a neighbour taking in a parcel for us and bringing it to my door this evening.
