NSD 7 but I nearly caved twice today. Circumvented the spends by getting DH to make carrot lox, and defrosting 2 bags of bagels from the freezer and having them for our supper with (not) cream cheese spread, tomatoes, and lettuce. Nobody complained, so I guess it worked!Noticed my front tyre looked a little wonky, so got out my magic tyre inflator (it plugs into the cigarette lighter and measures the tyre pressure and if you push a button, it inflates it to the right level) and sorted myself out before it gets too cold and icy for me to be bothered with kneeling in the road. Safety first Turtles. Also found the de-icer spray (the nozzle has disappeared though), and the scraper, and while I was at it, I unearthed my gloves, and a snood.DH gave me an early C-word present - rechargeable hand warmers!!! Oh the endless possibilities!I do need to buy some slippers though at some point, my feet are so painfully cold right now. I am sure there were some on special buy or some such lately, somewhere. ...4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

NSD 7 today!
Worked from the comfort of my warm cosy home today.
Another item sold on Vinted, so I got it all packed up and ready to post. I’ve also sorted a bag of stuff for the charity shop—hoping to get that dropped off tomorrow.
Still waiting on a survey so I can finally hit the £6 cashout threshold. I’m literally 7p away! It’s hilariously sad! I just really want to cash out before my next outing with a friend (a week on Thursday). The £6 will cover buying raffle tickets at the charity event.
Today, I’m grateful for:
• The snug comfort of working from home
• Selling another item on VinTd
• Mum’s company over lunch
• OH getting home early
• My sweet, innocent DS who’s been charming his grandparents into funding his football card obsession. (I’ve told them to stop!)

Just went in the yard and we have snow (urrgh). Not getting a lot done - the things that needed scrubbing are not coming clean - tried with one piece for 3 days on the run and so frustrating. I have switched to going through my craft drawers. The couch is pushed up against them so could only do the top ones at first. I think all or most of my craft stuff will have to go - can't do most of it. Spent some time mourning 'old me' which is now 'fantasy me' - it took me about 10 minutes to fasten the hook and loop on my rucksack as my hands were shaking so much. I'd hung it on the door and it kept snagging my cardigan as I went past.
I donated a bag of baubles and a bag of (mostly crafty) bits on Saturday. I have about 2 more bags worth ready to go (bags are hiding) as well as half a dozen jigsaws. I started 2 jigsaws last year and gave up with both at around the half way mark. I haven't had the urge to start one this year so will donate them. Craft things are difficult - so many things I wanted to do with and for my grand-daughter but it isn't happening. I will have one last try with some things but projects I haven't started may be let go. I may just donate lots of it but give myself permission to but a few small items when everything is sorted.
The house sale is stalled. My niece is ill, her bf was going to collect the paperwork I've done last Friday but got delayed at work. Rescheduled for yesterday and again he didn't arrive. Think I'll phone DS2 and see if he can come to do the photos of the meters any time this week.
I used a bag of frozen casserole mix, a single frozen chicken breast and some bits and bobs to make stew/ broth today. I've had 2 bowlfuls and there's a third portion left. I've been told I can use a cauli, carrot and something else mix as they were given it as a substitute.
I had set myself a target of 5 bin bags and 4 have been completed. I'm stalled on diy stuff too - think a lot of screws etc are going in the recycling. I have had them for years, most of them were free or reclaimed from broken furniture and I can't see me using most of them. Will just keep the most useful.
I did find a little pile of money whist tidying so think I might phone waste wizards and the commando gardeners and beg for help.
I've stayed up late twice looking at bungalows/ retirement properties on the internet (not sure how much longer I can keep gardening either). Cheapest are 3/4 share of a property in a retirement setting (ranging from terraced bungalows, flats in large houses or static caravans). Proper (1960's) bungalows give a lot more space (and outside space) but not always in the locations I want and some are so awful they drive me to despair.
I will bounce back but I'm just plodding atm. I want (and probably need) to do something fun. I did buy cards on Saturday (was on the list for most of last week but 3 days when I just couldn't find the energy to leave the house. Grateful for having options and choices (when my brain kicks into gear to sort through them), books and games to keep me entertained and for the WM not ripping anything for over a week (did try to order their new washer/ dryer but the website was being a pig - asked DS3 to try and he said it was the website, not me)

NSD 8. I am spending nothing today - as a reward it has been snowing here. 🌨️ 🌨️ 🌨️
Tuesday is house cleaning day. I am steaming through it. Well, up to the bit where I stop in total frustration. Each time I get a m2 further into the house = progress.
Moved living room furniture around to accommodate the 🌲 at the weekend. Decorations are coming out of the loft on Friday
Going to start soaking the fruit for the cakes / puddings tomorrow. Plans are to make festive marmalade ( only from a tin given to me last year + a dose of whisky in one or two jars) and the cakes/pud at weekend. Shopping list only has 5 items on it 3 items of food and 2 cleaning products. Not doing that today!
I do need warm socks though!! My toes are froze.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Dh bought some rechargeable hand warmers for Pip a few days ago, f0xh0les - I'd never heard of them before. It's simply cold-in-your-bones and rainy with a hint of sleet down here.I spotted a very small 5-shelf unit thingy outside a house this morning, with 'take me' taped on to it. So I did! And I have now emptied a couple of boxes of sewing stuff onto them. Some unused kilner jars were perfect for decanting my button stash into and a tall one paired with a tall beer glass to hold all my bamboo knitting needles. Dh went up to the loft to rummage through his box stash (yes, he keeps all the small containers we get!!!) and he found some nice ones for the rubber bands, drawing pins and paper clips that live in the bureau. Bye bye to the old plastic bag and plastic pots. Decluttering the physical space really helps my mental health!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!7
