NSD #7 for me today. We have just come back from visiting DD1 and family in the next county (stayed overnight), and they have quite a lot of snow there. The motorway on the drive back wasn't great either, but there is just sleety rain here. It is getting cold though! Not much done since we got back as I am shattered. Didn't sleep well, due to my legs hurting. I will do the e consult thing with the GP practice tomorrow morning as I have had it for more than a week now, and it hasn't gone away. Inconveniently it only hurts when sitting or lying down, not when walking, standing or doing housework etc. I do miss just being able to phone the surgery for an appointment. Not that I go very often. Even before it was such a hassle, I much preferred to wait to see if whatever it is goes away on its own. It often does!5

I’m back today with nsd #12. Some work days are so busy there’s no time to spend money ha ha. All meals from stores. I tend to plan meals at the weekend for the whole week and eat according to the plan. Yesterday I forgot my lunch though so had to buy something for lunch. Haven’t had time to catch up yet so will read everyone’s posts tonight.Mortgage free wannabee 2022 #825

Sticking at NSD 7 after a quick top-up shop for milk. Whilst out, I dropped off a bag of donations to the charity shop next door and posted my V!ntD parcel.
I had a very unproductive work day after enduring three long, intense meetings—I feel like a burst ball. To top it off, I found out the project I’ve been working five days a week on (which I thought would wrap up in March) is now likely to be extended for another 6–9 months!
Now I’m stuck wondering what to do if they ask me to keep working the extra Fridays. I’ve really missed having my Fridays off, volunteering at DS’s school, pottering around the house, etc. I’m questioning should I be a team player and stick it out? I only agreed to the extra day thinking it was short-term and would help me put those final pennies towards paying off the mortgage which will be done and dusted in April thanks to the extra hours I’ve been doing on Friday. Honestly, my brain’s fried from overthinking it today. I haven’t even been asked to do it yet and I doubt I will need to make a decision until February or March. Perhaps today is not the day to think about it.
For now, I’ve accepted that work was a total write-off and am off to the gym with Mum tonight. My plan is to park myself in the Jacuzzi, migrate to the steam room, then back to the Jacuzzi…and repeat until thoroughly unwound.
Grateful today for working from home, having OH working from home too (he’s been a great sounding board), and for him making a delicious dinner.

NSD #5 today. This month has been quite frustrating NSD-wise, with some unexpected things to pay out for and a few days with very tiny spends. No clue whether I’ll hit my target but will keep trying.Thankful for unexpectedly getting to spend time with a friend yesterday who was in the area for work, a good swimming lesson today and getting some washing done today.6

The snow is still here... Just had a 5 mile journey each way to pick DS3 up from the by stop. I've said NO to doing it again tomorrow night. What with skidding all over the road & my cataract eyes, it's not safe!!
Slept better last night, not sure if it was reading before bed, lavender sprinkled on my sheet or turning my radio alarm clock up slightly (so not laying awake straining to hear it go off), but it worked!
Had a good day at work, useless colleague is on a 4 day training course, & the lady covering today was like a breath of fresh air 😀 made sure the head teacher knew how well it'd gone 😉
Did a couple of rows of knitting before tea, then sewing afterwards.
Grateful for getting home safely in the snow, playing football in the gym hall instead of going outside at breaktime, my co-worker todayUse it up, wear it out
