Morning all, looking forward to getting away again for a few days while the weather is still mild.  DH still needs to do something else with the new battery otherwise we won't have any TV to watch tonight.  Everything else is sorted though so if it proves a problem it's not the end of the world we'll just have to read or play cards.  I might even do a bit of crochet or knitting (I'm not good at either but it keeps my hands occupied!).

Still need to pack the motorhome as wasn't able to get to the cupboards to put clothes away or the fridge to put the food away!  I'm going to get those bits done once I've had a cup of tea and then DH can get on and finish whatever it is he needs to do!

Pleased to hear you're feeling better @bubbs and that your mum has been discharged from the max facial department and good that the bruising has nearly gone.  Did you got those bargains at the Company Shop?  Seems the most likely although I know you sometimes pick up cheap bits in Asda when you go in early.  Have you got anything special planned for tomorrow to mark DH's retirement?

I did weigh this morning and pleased to say I've lost 1.3lb since Sunday so very pleased with that but no doubt I'll end up putting it back on over the weekend with more eating out and wine!

    Today's plan:

    B - porridge, fruit - HEB; S; F
    L - eating out
D - butternut squash and chickpea curry, rice - P; S; F (the curry just needs reheating as it's from the freezer)

    HEA - milk
    HEB - porridge
    Syns - wine

May pop on over the weekend but no promises!

    Have a good day/weekend everyone.

    Afternoon all 😁

    Well done Denise.

No Denise Asda about 2.15pm there lines they don't normally sell so all arked at 20p there was 1kg tubs of there own i cannot believe its butter 20p too, childrens yoghurts and yoghurt drink.

Well the end of an era has come, he is home here with me 😍 There was a party at work where they all came down and presentations as 3 went today. He has been given some vouchers for Miller & Carter, so we will have a nice meal and a lovely F1 advent calendar, (one of his psassions) One of his supervisors said some lovely things, as they have worked together nearly 18 years and they have had there  fallings out , but she she said you now can speak with your heart and not your head ( as he can be very firey!) because i know you are soft underneath, which in turn made him have a few tears, there has been alot of tears and think he surprised a few as most never knew he was like that 😍

The 2 that went through VR start of Sept came in which was lovely and we are all going down Christmas for the party 😍

  • Woohoo, a shiny new thread. Thanks Beanie x
I’ve weighed in and lost 1lb. So pleased with myself.I have been on plan all week, not deviated with any social event and had syns left every single day.
I rather doubt the same will be true next week as we have our youngest son’s 21st this weekend. All the family are coming and he is home from uni. Starting with a family Chinese takeaway for 13 all served up buffet style. I’ve baked him a cake and his fave biscoff brownies to take back with him. We’ve booked a meal out on Saturday and we’ll be having a roast on Sunday lunchtime before everyone departs. So if I manage a STS it will be a miracle.
    life is for living though!
Had Bns and chilli soup for lunch and we are having jacket spuds and bitsa for tea.
I’ll be back next week to report the damage.

Well done to all the losers 👏🎉

    Enjoy your time away @joedenise

Congratulations to your DH @bubbs I hope he likes his new boss and behaves 😉🤣

Happy 21st to your son @Matron_Midge enjoy the celebrations

Im having an unexpected cooking day. My brother took my parents to Costco and I now have an abundance of tomatoes (again!). I was only just starting to make a dent in the tomato soups and sauces in the freezer from a few months back and will now have a game of Tetris on my hands 🙈 ( I know I sound so ungrateful!)

    Today’s food:
B - sweet omelette, banana, berries, Kvarg 0.5
L - cheese and onion toastie HEXB/HEXA, tomato soup 😁
D - steak, chips, roasted veg

    Have a good day everyone.

I didn't get to post yesterday but stayed on plan with just a few syns for gravy and BGTY sausages. The Aldi skinny sausages seem to have disappeared now.

Well done on your losses @joedenise and @Matron_Midge. Enjoy your weekends both of you and then reset on Monday. 😊

It's harder if your DH doesn't like many vegetables @Mrbowie.  Carrots are fine of course and if he'd eat baby corn then that for some reason is Speed whereas the little pieces aren't.🤔 What about onions or roasted tomatoes or mushrooms? Or pickles like beetroot and gherkins? Or does he eat fruit?🤔 I always have my Speed across a day rather than per meal. Often I don't have any for breakfast (like today) but make it up with other meals. When I was getting to target I'd often eat a couple of satsumas during the day to make sure I kept the Speed up.

I know it's hard to find room sometimes @Jellybaby but the sauces with fresh tomatoes are delicious, much better than tinned or passata. When I was donated a huge bag I roasted some too (with garlic and some balsamic vinegar) and they made a tasty side dish.

I'm going to have a tiny bit less freezer space in the new kitchen. I'll have the same number of drawers but I think they're a bit smaller becasue of being an integrated appliance. I'm good at freezer tetris though! 🤣

    Today's plan-
B- HEB toast, eggs (P), baked beans (F), HEA milk for drinks
    L- JP (F), tuna (P), pickles (S)
D- tbc as fridge is looking empty until I do my meal plan and shop this afternoon
Syns- LTL mayo 1, weekend wine😊

Can I ask if you don’t mind @maman where you got the new kitchen units from?

    Afternoon all
My half term ‘break’ has turned into a 💩show 🥴

Hubby is back in hospital (since Tuesday) with a severe infection (not sepsis although it was a concern). He has had to have his neckline removed & has to wait 48 hours before a new one fitted which hopefully will be Monday! He’s also on strong intravenous antibiotics so has to stay in 🥺

Meanwhile my health has deteriorated, I have lost 3lb since Saturday. I know that doesn’t sound a lot but it’s not a ‘healthy’ loss. I had my haircut Wednesday and look so scrawny in the face 🥺 my clothes are hanging off me too. Long story short today have been referred for urgent CT scan and ANOTHER colonoscopy (had one in January). Scan is for my pancreas same as my sister 😢. Blood tests brought forward but not until Tuesday am not coping well today 😢
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

Kitchen units are from Howden @beanielou but it's trade only so we had them through the builder. I was very happy with the Wickes kitchen I had before though, lasted 14 years and would still be going if it wasn't for wanting the extension . 😊

So sorry to hear your news @TakeItEazy. 🤗 Good to know you're having tests quickly though. Hope you
and DH get better news soon. 🤞
