You're right that men can have more syns @Mrbowie , probably about 20 per day at your DH's weight and size I'd say. They also lose more which seems so unfair! 👿
My DH and Joe, @joedenise's DH follow SW loosely in that they have similar meals to us but have some extras too. My DH eats more bread than me as he'll often have a sandwich when I'm having a JP or similar. We always have the same dinner and most breakfasts although my DH has a muesli that isn't a HEB but with loads of fruit on top. We have the same when it's baked beans or porridge. I think @bubbs' DH eats similar meals too although perhaps a different lunch although that may change when he stops work! 🤣
How does your DH's menu differ from yours? Does he eat out a lot or take a packed lunch? I'd look closely at where your menus differ and try to substitute SW friendly items for him. The great thing about SW is that we don't need to go hungry, just eat the right things.
That was sensible to have the roof checked @Jellybaby rather than paying for work that isn't needed. Now that's done, hope you have the quiet day you've planned. I'm having one of our favourite meals tonight.😋
I usually make my own pasta sauce but I noticed that Lidl do a tomato and basil jar for meatballs which is 3 syns which is 500g
Baresa Pasta Sauce - | Lidl UK
and another which is 700g for 4 syns. Anyone tried them?🤔
Today's plan-
B- HEB toast, eggs (P), baked beans (F), HEA1 milk for drinks
L- JP (F), cottage cheese (P), salad (S)
D- spaghetti with meatballs in tomato sauce (P,S,F), HEA2 Parmesan
Syns-0

@maman thankyou that's great advice, it's gonna be a bumpy ride lol, he only like carrots peas and sweetcorn, which to be honest I buy the steambags. He will eat JP's boiled and sw chips. He's not a big eater but tends to have a big tea. He also likes a whisky and a bottle of stella 4 nights a week. I'm sure I can make it work, he's willing so that's a good sign. We aim to start next week, im going to write him a menu then I can shop accordingly 😋 x0

Morning everyone,
Hope you feel better today @bubbs
Yes, meatballs is definitely a favourite here 😁 @maman. In fact, it may feature on Saturday night 🥳
Hope the move is going/gone well for @Coxy11. I miss her and a few others posts.
Weather forecast says sunny and breezy but looking out the window it’s damp and grey. I’ve a load of towels swishing about and stripped ALL the beds so it best get its act together PDQ.
I’m thinking I might start a cupboard inventory so with the freezer list I can use up what’s already in and save some money. I’m fairly sure everything is in date and it’ll hopefully give some inspiration for new dishes and shake things up.
Today’s food:
B - baked oats HEXB, raspberries, Kvarg 0.5
L - tomato and red pepper soup
D - h/m smoked haddock fish cakes, roasted veg, h/m tomato salsa
Have a good day all!0 -
Morning all, weather not quite as gloomy as yesterday morning so have done our bedding but it's just hanging on the line as there isn't any breeze but at least it should be a bit dryer than when it went out! Have decided that if it doesn't dry it's going in the tumble dryer as can't stand having wet sheet/duvet cover on the airer as takes far to long to dry as they are brushed cotton and seem to take forever to dry.
Hope you are feeling better today @bubbs, it's miserable when you don't feel well. Are you still having to work as it's always harding when you've got a stinking cold!
We've got a similar dinner to you tonight @Jellybaby except that our fishcakes have spring onions in them! So today's plan is:
B - mushroom omelette - P; S
L - Welsh rarebit, pickles - HEA2; S; F
D - smoked haddock and spring onion fishcakes (from freezer); chips; green veg (probably peas and green beans!) - P; S; F
HEA1 - milk
HEA2 - cheese
Syns - none planned but who knows!
DH has ordered a new leisure battery for the motorhome (it's to replace the current 3 we have at the moment which aren't working as well as they ought to) so it's a big one! Had hoped it would arrive yesterday so he could get it fitted but unfortunately only the charger arrived so he fitted that yesterday afternoon. Once the battery arrives he'll fit that and then put the fridge on as we want to check everything works OK with it so we're going to go to Canterbury for a few days from Thursday - Sunday.
Obviously means I'll need to weigh a day early so only a very short week between WIs - Sunday - Thursday but hopefully they'll have been a bit of movement but we will see!
Have a good day everyone.

It's strange @Jellybaby but the thread is just like a RL group in that some people stay away for a while (often when when they're finding it hard to stay on plan) but again just like RL, they come back again! Hope that's true of @Coxy11.🤗
Change of plan here yesterday as a painter turned up just when I was about to start dinner. I couldn't wait for him to leave as I had to go out so I just grabbed some ham and fruit and DH pinged a ready meal for himself later. So meatballs are on for today instead. 😋
It's been dull and overcast but dry and mild here today @joedenise. No washing done here but DD1 just called in and took a bag of laundry to do for me.😁 Forecast is good over coming days so hopefully she'll get it sorted without too much trouble. Hope the battery turns up soon.🤞🏼
Hope you're feeling a bit better @bubbs. So kind of your DH to share his germs! 😁
I needed to go to B&Q this morning so called in at Home Bargains which is just opposite to pick up mu usual supply of beetroot. It's 20p a jar cheaper than Aldi and as I eat so much of it, it's worth going there. Herbs, spices and red lentils are good value there too.
Today's plan-
B- HEB toast, scrambled eggs (P), tomatoes (S), HEA1 milk for drinks
L- lentil soup (S,P), sardine salad (S,P)
D- spaghetti and meatballs in tomato sauce (P,F.S), HEA2 Parmesan
Syns- 00 -
The battery turned up late this morning and DH has fitted it. It's still charging at the moment as it has to be shipped with very little charge in it but should be fully charged soon so we'll be able to put food etc in the van in the morning and we'll go to Canterbury for the weekend to make sure it works well - it better do as it cost a fair bit!
Have had to rejig my menu plan already as didn't know we were going to be away this weekend! Will be having spaghetti Bol instead of a new recipe I was going to try on Friday - that will now move to about 2 weeks time as I've swapped them over!
Thanks for the heads up re beetroot, spices and lentils in Home Bargains @maman. We've got one of those next door to the Food Warehouse and we're getting one on the Island which is due to open soon. It's taken over the old Aldi shop now they have moved to a bigger store near Morrisons.
