It's a good feeling getting back on plan at the start of a new week @maddiemay and @winterbear95. I like to do my meal plan and a shopping list to go with it and then I feel organised, in control and ready to go.😁
It's perfectly possible to go it alone when you know the plan. Do ask if you need any syn values @maddiemay.
We can really see daily progress with the extension now. There's an electrician here at the moment and he's promising the hob will be operational by this evening. It's the first time I've had an induction hob so I could do with a lesson! 😂 I'm dreading using the new oven too. It's a double one which, again, is new to me so I'm going to be on a big learning curve.
It's bright here @joedenise, the first time we've seen the sun for days. 🤞🏼 it'll clear up for you. Shame you didn't have enough pork for dinner tonight. I'm tempted to buy some of the joints from Sainsbury's but I think I need to wait until new freezers are installed.
My back still isn't right. I'm much improved from Friday but it still hurts and I'm having to take painkillers and muscle relaxants which make me woozy. It doesn't help that it's hard to relax anywhere as the house is such a tip. We now have FOUR freezers in the dining room! That's the two old ones which are working and the two new ones which needed a home so that the new floor can be cleared to be prepped for the flooring company.
Today's plan-
B- HEB toast, fried eggs (P), mushrooms and tomatoes (S), HEA milk for drinks
L- ham (P), LO veg and pickles (S)
D- salmon (P), potato, mushroom, onion and tomato hash (F,S), green stuff (S)
Syns- 0

Debating to ring Dr but not sure what he can do either, just waiting on scan & gastro! Just feel so ill 😢Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

@TakeItEazy sorry that you feel so ill, would it be worth calling gp to see if anything available to ease worst symptoms. (Virtual gentle hugs).
OH and I WI yesterday 8-12 llbs to loose for him and 5/6 for me. Easing in toSW type plan as have lots of good food to work thro'.
@maman I hope your back is less painful today.
Physio earlier, signed off to keep working on my own, may try and find a gentle Pilates class for the winter months.

Afternoon all, was lovely and sunny first thing but started raining just before lunchtime - that horrible light, drizzly stuff that absolutely soaks you.
Been out shopping and spent an absolutely fortune although have got plenty of meat for the freezer - thanks @bubbs for heads up re Sainsbury's pork and lamb. Bought another decent sized piece of pork which will be at least 2 roast dinners with leftovers plus will slice off a couple of chops for another meal. The lamb leg was just over £16 reduced from nearly £33! Certainly wouldn't have paid that. DH is going to cut up a good thick slice from the top which I'll cube and freeze for a lamb tagine and the rest of it will be halved for 2 roast dinners with leftovers - probably end up as shepherds pie!
Sorry to hear you are still really poorly @TakeItEazy. Think it probably is worth ringing your GP there may be something they can give you to help. It's no fun being hungry and frightened to eat knowing it's likely to go straight through you.
It wouldn't be very MSE if you didn't eat the good food you already have in - just try to spread it over time so you don't eat all the synful stuff at once!
Hope your back if feeling a bit better today @maman. Have you tried the induction hob yet? I've had an induction hob for over 20 years now - wouldn't have anything else now. The double oven is good as you can use the small oven/grill when you just have one tray of food so good for tray bakes. I only use the main oven when I'm doing a roast dinner or cooking 2 or 3 things at the same time although don't tend to do that much these days!
Today's plan:
B - toasted cheese sandwich, pickled onions - HEA2; HEB; S
L - mushroom omelette - P; S
D - porcupine meatballs in tomato & mushroom sauce, green veg - P; S; F (SlimmingEats recipe)
HEA1 - milk
HEA2 - cheese
HEB - bread
Syns - none planned but will have something!
Have a good day everyone.

@TakeItEazy - do you not have e-consult at your GP where you ask them to call you to discuss? I find it much easier to get someone to call me than trying to get an appointment.0
