It's a normal sign... the reports are normally rapidly sent to DWP unless audited. You could try asking for a copy.
They called me on Friday confirming the appointment and asked if i would mind if someone sat in with the assessor, i said No i don't mind, i forgot to ask ...
This could be one or two things…the person listening was just starting their training and would have no impact on the report, they are there for their benefit.

    Or,..

The assessor was being “live” audited.   When I worked with ATOS they had a golden ticket Audit.  So to pass probation you have to get 5 A rated reports in a row.  So if the assessor was on 4 - their manager would “Golden ticket Audit” them.   Live Audit means there is no back and forth over days.

All training assessors reports are audited, but once past probation the assessors reports are audited on a random basis.   If the report has gone to DWP then if it was for audit it has passed with no amendments required.

I think you misread or misunderstood pete's post - if the person with the assessor was just listening because they are just starting their own training, that would make sense to be with an experienced assessor.

Not to be rude, but you cant judge where in their PIP assessor journey they are due to their voice.
A lot of PIP assessors are Health care professionals who are either having a break from their profession or have a life situation that requires Mon-Fri, 9-5, no weekend work.

I was late 40s when I starts PIP assessing, as this was a clinical role that allowed me to maintain my nursing registration without being a NHS ward or nursing home which was shift work/heavy going.  I choose to step away from “Frontline” nursing to protect my health longterm (Spinal surgery in 2002) and I wanted to enjoy my retirement (although since then managed to acquire two longterm illnesses). Ive since left nursing completely although still registered until Jan 2028.

I didn't get PIP again, but this time only 2 points for 'mixing with people'.

Again, driving license used in several descriptors and even though i'm on NHS CBT talking therapies at the moment for (social) anxiety and depression it's been ignored. For mental health they say "no evidence of current specialist input" even though I sent all letters and emails as evidence, which includes names of the people who treat me. I've had 3 sessions out of 12 and the next 12 sessions will be for OCD (talking therapies does 1 or 2 issues at a time) so will continue until at least middle of next year. For OCD they say "no specialist input" but it's all within NHS CBT talking therapies sessions which looks at all issues.

For washing and bathing I said I use a stool to sit down and wash my lower limbs but didn't get any points for using an 'aid'. I also said I need to sit down on a bed to change my lower clothes but again no points.

And the assessor seemed so nice as well and took a lot of time on mental health.

I'll ask for the assessment report but I already know (from experience and this decision) what it will be like.

TBH, that is not a surprise.

Maybe give it a year or so & try again.

Perhaps now is the time to concentrate on getting better rather than using your energy on another MR or appeal.

ETA If you got 2 points for mixing with people it sounds like they did take into account your social anxiety.

I'm not surprised but did think there was a chance if they consider mental illness as last time they didn't. The physical issues are still there too but .... what can i say.

They don't seem to have taken account of the severity from the tests I take. I believe I should have got more than 2 points. The last time I did the proper PIP claim in 2021 these issues were there but are now more severe.

I would've done an MR with the previous PIP claim but didn't because i hadn't included mental health issues in the form, esp OCD, and this time i have and am receiving treatment so an MR makes sense.
