It's good to be missed! 🤣🤣 Herm is beautiful, it's a 20 minute boat trip from Guernsey. There are no cars and we walked the whole island in a few hours. There are gorgeous sandy beaches on one side and rough granite rocks on the opposite side. The weather was perfect too.

Oooh, I love a good Red Arrow or 9! I grew up near RAF Scampton, their previous "home".  My brother used to send me photos from his tractor of them practising.

Anyway, £3.73 potted! A little "sweep" of my account.

We had some VERY local rain today.Nothing where I was 4 miles across town. When I got home thought there must have been a burst water main or something until Mrs Mac told me there had been a heavy downpour.

Picked up a roadkill pound coin and potted it. Only a Sealed Potter would understand the excitement  :)
Hope everyone is keeping relatively well

We get that with the rain.  My mum lives 5 minutes away by car, in a different district and between us is a park and a massive and ancient woodland.  Often one of us will get rain while the other will get nothing, or will get heavier rain than the other, as happened last week!  A few times I've driven home along the wood bottom and as I've reached our end have driven through a curtain of pouring rain whilst it's dry behind me.  We always say it's the woods that cause their own weather system.

It really does feel that after those longer hot days in August, it's suddenly dark very early this month!

Potted a measly £5.22 this week in the virtual pot (i.e., my main bank account is running on fumes as we approach payday)!  Last weekend we were away for a family gathering and then I took my mum to the seaside for her birthday on Monday.  We had a paddle in the sea and the weather was perfect!  We do have a record of having excellent weather on our trips anywhere.

Hello SPCers! I hope you've all enjoyed a very good albeit very wet weekend, Enjoy the week ahead.
To all those of you who are poorly or low in any way, take very great care and get well soon. Very best wishes from us all here on SPC 3

I certainly can't help but miss you Siju. 😉 Whether you've been on the thread or not, you're always noticed! 😂
We've lived down here for many years now and are in the same TV region as the Channel Isles. They're often spoken about, but have never once mentioned Herm, strange. It certainly sounds really beautiful though and at least you had good weather.

Very well done madlyn! Anything left in your house? 😂 I know we say it every year, but I agree it never seems possible that SPC 18 will all too soon come to an end. Still, at least SPC 19 starts the very next day!

Oh me too Vicky! Oh how fortunate you were to have grown up where they originally were, and to have received photos of them practicing. You were obviously in your brother's thoughts a lot, bless him.
Another sweep and £3.73 netted! Well done.

I know full well what you mean about how close rain changes MrsShazbat. On the way to work at Cirencester many years ago, it was lovely and dry on my side of the road, the other side it was tipping it down! I'd never seen it like that before and really couldn't believe it!

We live where there is woodland all around us and so often hubby and I are in the garden and we hear it tipping it down on the trees, it's quite eerie yet quite magical. 😯

BTW, your £5.22 isn't measly at all and will all add up on or before the 23 October.

Hello there LMD and your £33 is excellent potting!

£20 transferred from our account to the SPC account

Have a great week ahead.....but BE CAREFUL OF THE RAIN AND WIND TOMORROW!!
    Sue
Declaration Day for SPC 0025 is October 23rd.............BEFORE --- BUT NO LATER, please!

Hello all, sorry I've been MIA...again!

I got married 7 weeks ago so with the lead up to that (married in Scotland, live in Cornwall), I haven't had much time.

I'm still putting all my loose change in the pot and I'm looking forward to counting it next month.
