Well, it was probably my DH who passed you his cold @Sue_UU (over the internet, obviously  :D) as he had a stinker!

I've just potted £169.27 which was cashback received from our holiday over the summer.  A real boost to the total (whatever that is as I'll tot up all the little parts on 23rd October)!

I’ve had a stinker of a bug recently Sue. It felt covid-like but I tested negative. I don’t think it was me that passed it your way though. Hope you’re fully rid of the germs very soon.
Not long at all now and it’s declaration day. Hotel already booked for our SPC funded break  :)

Oh dear, there seems to be a lot illness around, I hope everyone feels better soon.  DH and I felt unwell last week but it didn't last long, thank goodness.
Some small change added yesterday 😊

Hello, I've been potting a few pennies as I'm using cash this month for my groceries.  I do prefer it really as it focuses the mind not to buy things you don't need as you don't have the money in your purse, and has the added bonus of cash for the Christmas tin!  I'm trying to get a doctors appointment at the moment which is just as stressful as feeling ill.  Our group of surgeries (no local alternative I'm afraid) "requires improvement" and has a QCC rating of 2.6.  I filled in a form and the last question was basically what do you want to happen as a result of requesting an appointment!  Feel like I'm being asked to self diagnose.  Anyway I will be contacted in 4-5 working days.  I only want a blood test to check various levels of stuff.  If I am allowed one I have to go to the local football stadium (yes really!) as they don't take blood in the surgery and the hospital blood taking area is booked appointments only not walk ins, along with the £2.20 per hour car parking fee.  This is probably why I've put off trying to get an appointment for weeks  :(

    Hi @Sue-UU, everyone.
Just a fleeting visit, will help me remember to call back in later this week. Sue I need to declare my totals THIS Thu/Fri as I fly off on Saturday. Not back until.. 9th November, Can you do me a favour and push the cold weather back a month for me lol. I seem to remember coming back to the UK last year, without a jacket and half freezing to death at Kings Cross Station. Funny thing is..I think I might be going to India with a cold :( Not funny rather.

On a side note, read some of your posts above - I hope your grand daughter is enjoying her new job and that you call in occassionally and eat all her bakes :)

  • Afternoon all and happy sunny (I hope) Sunday - it's another glorious day here.  Can't believe it's only a week or so until declaration day!  It just randomly crossed my mind earlier.  My virtual pot is looking very healthy thanks to this challenge and also the 1p and 52-week ones I'm doing, plus there's my actual physical pot although I haven't emptied my purse into that for a few weeks.

We've just had a week away in a lakeside caravan doing very little, except reading, word/card games, and watching the RAF and Battle of Britain Memorial Flight practising over and around us   Apart from that and the resident population of wildfowl it was very quiet.  We did have obligatory trip to the seaside for fish & chips, and also to scatter our dog's ashes in the sea (or some of them, and we checked the rules) as that's where she had her final holiday with us last year.  The rest will go in the garden.  We've decided to make this particular trip an annual one as it's only a couple of hours away.
@MrsShazbat - you've not posted and updates on the 52 week one, so if you've been stuffing your virtual envelopes please come and fill us in and we will update the totals :)  I thought you had decided agains it x
