Hi again all SPCers, finally I'm back, though I'm not yet fully rid of this blasted cold, but on the way.
I'm just so grateful it didn't turn into an exacerbation which is what I really feared most!!! 🙏
Our DD tells us that scores of folk she knows either have them or have them.
Your poor DH too Vicky, poor chap, though if he'd given it to us I'd be calling him a lot more than poor chap. 😡 😂

Like you Ant, we also feared they might be Covid so tested, but thankfully also tested negative!

sneeze or cough that hard to pass it down to us, mind you if you had've

what a ridiculous lark you've had with your Drs, and finally having to
go to the football stadium to get the blood test you need...! Whoever
heard of a surgery NOT being able to do blood tests?! Pathetic! 😡
T
tested his blood here a few weeks ago (he has high BP) and it was
higher than it should be. He rang the surgery to see if a Dr thought he
needed a higher BP tablet. That was on the Monday, "he'll ring you
soon", on the Thursday T rang again as he'd heard nothing. "I'll ask
him"! "No, he can't see you and suggests you go to A&E"!!! WHAT
says T...and after several ours at A&E I'll need a hospital bed or
one in the corridor!!
Oh for Drs of pre Covid or longer!

but she doesn't start her cafe until the end of November. Don't worry
though we'll be sure to pop in and buy some (not all) of her goodies,
we've already tasted all her baking many times when visiting her, her
hubby and their children. Deeelicious! 😋

Apart from that and the resident population of wildfowl it was very quiet. We did have obligatory trip to the seaside for fish & chips, and also to scatter our dog's ashes in the sea (or some of them, and we checked the rules) as that's where she had her final holiday with us last year. The rest will go in the garden. We've decided to make this particular trip an annual one as it's only a couple of hours away.
