Hello SPCers! I hope you've all enjoyed a very good weekend.
To all those of you who are poorly or low in any way, take very great care and get well soon. Very best wishes from us all here on SPC 3

Hi again all SPCers, finally I'm back, though I'm not yet fully rid of this blasted cold, but on the way.
I'm just so grateful it didn't turn into an exacerbation which is what I really feared most!!! 🙏
Our DD tells us that scores of folk she knows either have them or have them.

Your poor DH too Vicky, poor chap, though if he'd given it to us I'd be calling him a lot more than poor chap. 😡 😂
Excellent potting! A brilliant boost indeed!!

Like you Ant, we also feared they might be Covid so tested, but thankfully also tested negative!
Sadly, not rid of it all yet, but much better than we were. I doubt you could sneeze or cough that hard to pass it down to us, mind you if you had've done... 😡
I'm pleased you've got your hotel booked ready! 😀

I'm so pleased you and hubby didn't get any worse Siju, such a relief. Good for you with your potting.

Oh Hetty what a ridiculous lark you've had with your Drs, and finally having to go to the football stadium to get the blood test you need...! Whoever heard of a surgery NOT being able to do blood tests?! Pathetic! 😡
T tested his blood here a few weeks ago (he has high BP) and it was higher than it should be. He rang the surgery to see if a Dr thought he needed a higher BP tablet. That was on the Monday, "he'll ring you soon", on the Thursday T rang again as he'd heard nothing. "I'll ask him"!  "No, he can't see you and suggests you go to A&E"!!! WHAT says T...and after several ours at A&E I'll need a hospital bed or one in the corridor!!
Oh for Drs of pre Covid or longer!
Well done with your change potted.

Hi MrsShazbat and well done with your money potted as well as your virtual.
I'm pleased to hear you've had a break away and relaxed as well as scattering you dear dog's ashes, bless her.

Hi James, lovely to see you.
Of course you can declare your money before you go to India. Have a lovely time and don't forget to take your coat for when you come back!!

Thanks so much James, but she doesn't start her cafe until the end of November. Don't worry though we'll be sure to pop in and buy some (not all) of her goodies, we've already tasted all her baking many times when visiting her, her hubby and their children. Deeelicious!  😋
    See you towards the weekend.

Can believe only 10 days left!  Got a text from drs, you can book a blood test appointment with us in 2 weeks or collect form and go to football stadium.  Went to get test done at lunch time (very busy, 45 min wait), they said results should be back by tomorrow afternoon!  When I was in collecting form the receptionist was telling someone she wasn’t allowed to make appointments just to add people to a list; what is the world coming to 🤦‍♀️

Afternoon all and happy sunny (I hope) Sunday - it's another glorious day here.  Can't believe it's only a week or so until declaration day!  It just randomly crossed my mind earlier.  My virtual pot is looking very healthy thanks to this challenge and also the 1p and 52-week ones I'm doing, plus there's my actual physical pot although I haven't emptied my purse into that for a few weeks.

We've just had a week away in a lakeside caravan doing very little, except reading, word/card games, and watching the RAF and Battle of Britain Memorial Flight practising over and around us   Apart from that and the resident population of wildfowl it was very quiet.  We did have obligatory trip to the seaside for fish & chips, and also to scatter our dog's ashes in the sea (or some of them, and we checked the rules) as that's where she had her final holiday with us last year.  The rest will go in the garden.  We've decided to make this particular trip an annual one as it's only a couple of hours away.
@MrsShazbat - you've not posted and updates on the 52 week one, so if you've been stuffing your virtual envelopes please come and fill us in and we will update the totals :)  I thought you had decided agains it x

Oh sorry, it's just a lot to keep track of with the 3 challenges LOL  I don't think I officially joined the 52-week one, I'm just doing it through my Plum app.  I did join the 1p one but again keep forgetting to update! x

My bad, I did join, just found it!!  Have updated x

    Hi all/ @Sue-UU
I'm ready to declare! I'll do it now as tomorrow I need to pust some time aside so I can panic like crazy before the big day. Drumroll please!

    First my money tins:
    Tin #1 - Pounds & Paper - £475
    Tin #2 - Silver tin - £66
Tin #3 - Coppers, no idea how much, I'm not actually counting it, contents will be poured into a money collection box of whichever charity is stationed at my local Asda when I visit later today. (Total will maybe be about £7-8?)
    So Tin(s) total = £541
Natwest 'Roundups' I totalled this to be about £112, which sounds about right as I'm easily saving £10 a week.
Interest from ISA & Savings (Jan 2025) = £2110. This was either put back into a new ISA account or fixed rate savings account which will payout again early next year (not including that until next SPC.)
So I think my grand total is about £2763.
Happy with that - especially since the holiday has lessened what I could have saved ;)
Anyway I hope you are all well and I bet you can't wait for next week! :)
I not sure if I will be around to read everyones results on the 25-26th, I think I will be back in Delhi so should have internet access, don't quote me though :)
    Take care all
    James
