My savings are all for retirement. Each month £448 goes to a private pension and a varying amount will go to my general investment account."If you aren’t willing to own a stock for ten years, don’t even think about owning it for ten minutes” Warren Buffett

A bit late to this thread, continuing in 2025 with the regular £12,000 target. It's likely I will save more than that but there are possible external factors that could affect the outcome this year should they occur but I have to presume everything continues as normal for now.

Oh @enthusiasticsaver you've no idea how pleased I am to be a nice round #50!
And with that:
#50 t2rry declaring £1,750 for January please
Some of my ground rules, thought it might be interesting to share/see others:
I DO NOT include savings interest or investment returns
I DO NOT include round ups (money that goes into savings from rounding up spends, I consider this an expense)
I DO NOT knock off any spending that is planned (Unplanned spends will come off in-month savings)
Overall this essentially means taking away with one hand but giving back with the other, so whilst it's never meant to result in one negating the other, it's a give and take that I allow so I can concentrate on my savings totals (and spending) being proactive rather than passive.
