It should be noted that even though it’s owned by HSBC, their £85000 FSCS Protection DOESN’T apply to this account. It’s just an e-money account.1

Mine is the same and when I contacted them they said up to 3 days to very documents. It is a "prepaid debit card", so they are not exposed to any debt?ctdctd said:I've got as far as downloading the app and doing all the verification stuff. However the app is saying "We need to review your application" and has been since 6:30am this morning!0 -
Why does it take 2-3 days to very a prepaid debit card? You can only spend the amount you load onto the card?0

I just topped up my Amazon account with £5 credit here and it worked perfectly - useful to get the spend sorted asap!1

All sorted very quickly and spend complete. Here's to a few free beers.

It's an identity check not a credit check. I'm pretty sure you wouldn't want people setting up cards in your name/address even if they were pre-paid accounts?phammo53 said:Why does it take 2-3 days to very a prepaid debit card? You can only spend the amount you load onto the card?2 -

Topped up my Amazon account with £5 using the virtual card on the 23rd, and received an email and text message on the 24th to confirm that I've qualified for the bonus 😁0
