You have time to apply for NatWest even if it does end next week. As long as you start the process before it's pulled, you will qualify, even if your switch occurs after the offer has ended.

    Withdrawal of offer
This offer may be changed, replaced, or withdrawn at any time.
If we withdraw the offer and you’ve already applied to switch to
an eligible account, you’ll still be entitled to receive £180, provided that you meet the conditions set out in these Terms.

    Thanks middle_of_the_road, very helpful.
Does anyone know if CASS(current account switch service) or Chase will get mad and ban me if I start opening and switching multiple accounts at once?(I already have one switching rn)

CASS don't set limits on the number of accounts you can switch.
I've not heard of Chase reacting adversely to people switching a few secondary accounts. Though if you've only just signed up with them to switch straight out again, that's not ideal.

It's quite probable the media outlets get some sort of advance info for these types of offers, so they are ready to report on them when they go live - free advertising for the banks and all that.

As for Chase - your mileage may vary, but so far they haven't gotten annoyed with me and I've been fairly agressive with opening dummy accounts for switching. They reserve the right to stop doing business with me if they want to, and that's their right of course, but so far so good for me. Just make sure you open two accounts and always keep at least one open because if you only have one account and you close it then they won't let you open any new accounts down the line.

Based on me and my wife's experience in the past 3 weeks, absolutely not!

A month to be eligible to register for biometrics. Extremely frustrating in the interim. I am tempted to switch out to Lloyds to get their incentive as well.
  • Is it possible to login to Natwests app on online banking on a laptop to be eligible for the £180 reward? I dont have an iphone!
Do you not have any sort of 'smartphone' (since you say no iPhone, an Android phone) or an Apple/ Android tablet? I think Android apps are still currently supported on Windows 11, though I read that's ending in 2025, I've never tried that so can offer no advice.

But to answer your question, there's no straightforward way of circumventing the requirement to login to the NatWest mobile app using a laptop.

Thanks, no i havent got a smartphone so it looks like i wont be eligible for the £180 so it'll be a waste of time switching from santander!

Just had a text from Natwest to say that the £180 switch reward is now in my account! I checked in disbelief and it has gone in even though i dont have a smartphone! Maybe i should withdraw it quickly in case they suddenly realise theyve made a mistake?
  • Had you met all the other criteria and if so when?

My switch completes tomorrow, but I did receive the Ulster incentive in February and so not sure if I'll be lucky to get this incentive!

Based on previous experience with NatWest/RBS/Ulster switches, they do a decent job at checking within a brand (eg. NatWest will know you've had a previous NatWest switch) but very poorly at checking between brands (ie. it's unlikely NatWest will know about your Ulster switch). Fingers crossed!

Entirely agree -- switch gone smoothly, incentive received, like the app etc. -- but can't register for biometrics and have been waiting nearly two weeks for a card reader to show up in the post.
