Has anyone else's Sunday Saver gone squiffy on Christmas day?

Mine has it as all peak, "Thu, 25 Dec  Peak 100.0%", which I wasn't expecting and somewhat lowers the week's overall figures.

I know there were those eight hours free but still...

So, for the first time in December, what with cooking the Christmas Day Lunch for day time rather than evening, I managed to accrue some free electricity for the next Sunday.  After the end of Saturday, the web site was showing that I'd accrued 12 hours.  All my readings are available to see in the trends but, now, it says that due to a "blip" in readings, there is no data to assess the Sunday Saver accrual for last week.

    What's going on?

This is what the website says now:
"Challenge: undefined NaN undefined to undefined NaN undefined
We couldn't track how much peak electricity you shifted last week due to a blip in your smart meters communication. Don't let it stop you! Keep going for a chance to earn free electricity this week."

It's strange, I didn't get a text message, however I'm most certainly taking part in the December challenge and the T&Cs were unequivocal in saying those taking part in December would automatically get 8 hours on Christmas day. Anyone else not received an expected text?
I did not get the text message, but I am definitely in the December challenge and also signed up for January challenge.  I better get the free hours as I managed my consumption accordingly:

Yes entire day shows as peak.

I'm sure I read somewhere that Christmas Day won't count for calculating the week's challenge but can't remember where.

From a quick check of my other days peak % and assuming they use simple averaging it looks like they haven't used any data from the 25th in calculating the week average so the classification on the day doesn't matter.

If you load shifted to christmas day from other days you may have skewed the other days.

I don't recall reading that but it does make entire sense that EDF will not allow free electricity consumed to also accrue a discount / credit in the calculation for further free electricity to be accrued.

For this to be fair, EDF should either have suspended the Sunday Saver for the week, or set the calculation to only consider four days for that week.

My outcome was showing a clear outcome and 12 hours free electricity accrued (which I think did include Christmas day consumption).  Now it says there was a blip and I get nothing:

However, the half-hour data for the whole week has been recorded:

I did get a whatsapp message back from EDF pointing me to the general Sunday Saver page (https://www.edfenergy.com/free-elec).

I've queried the point further and referred to Sunday Saver Terms and Conditions (https://www.edfenergy.com/energy-efficiency/sunday-saver-challenge-terms-conditions), noting these state :"7. During the Service Period, each week you will be offered an incentive (as set out at Clause 11) to reduce the proportion of electricity that you consume between 4pm - 7pm, Monday through Friday (the “Peak Period”)."

For completeness, I checked the specific Event T&Cs (https://www.edfenergy.com/free-elec/december-terms-and-conditions).  I couldn't see any mention of peak periods or exclusions but also see that these say "If you are already participating in EDF Sunday Saver, the EDF Sunday Saver terms and conditions will apply in priority of these Event terms and conditions"

Will see what the reply is and what I've missed.

I think considering the four days is exactly what they've done. I've downloaded my half hourly data for the week and can only replicate the peak % use if I exclude Christmas day.

Not sure if it was this from the T&Cs I'm remembering or something else (possibly a message in the Energy hub), but the last sentence indicates EDF treat Event days differently.

    Baseline
    10.  In order to determine if you have reduced the proportion of electricity consumed in the Peak Period as part of the Challenge, we will calculate your baseline consumption (the “Baseline”). The Baseline will be calculated by taking a weekly average of the proportion of electricity you consumed in the Peak Periods during each week that started in the calendar month prior to the commencement of the first Service Period that you participate in. We will adjust the Baseline for weather corrections and we reserve the right to apply any other corrections. The Baseline, as adjusted by us from time to time, will apply for future consecutive Service Periods that you participate in. We will recalculate your Baseline if your participation in the Service ends or pauses (for example you do not sign-up to participate in a future Service Period, you move house or you are no longer Eligible), the Service is ended or paused by us, or we determine there is an error in the Baseline calculation. The day(s) where an Event has taken place (if any) will be excluded when calculating your Baseline.

The error message readings are annoying, but I have now calculated my peak use for Mon, Tue, Wed, Fri of Christmas week and the peak load is higher than it needs to be for me to have accrued any free electricity for this Sunday coming so there is no point in me querying the matter with EDF.  Partly the result of load-shifting consumption from the week into the free period on Christmas Day.  I better get that free amount credited.

I do feel, however, that EDF own the meter and, if this type of charging mechanism is to be implemented it is beholden on the supplier to have equipment that works reliably and not allow "error" to be a way they can avoid discounts.

So, I received the text confirming that the bill credit had been applied for Christmas day and, unusually for me, decided to check the account online.  So it says:

    Christmas Day Credit £19.07

    Electricity used between 16 Dec 2025 and 30 Dec 2025 £91.05

So, are EDF saying they gave a credit of about 20% of two-weeks electricity, so 10% of a month's worth?
    That is quite generous.
