Great, the polls are becoming as repetitive as the content on this site / in the newsletter.

Being an EV owner I'd insist you took payment, sad he didn't even offer

Maybe visit him, hand him a 20lt fuel can, ask if he can pop and fill it up for you but dont offer him any money, then if he asks you for payment just say I thought it would be free like our electric was.

Alternatively you could sign up your EV charger to a community charging group/app, then anyone can book to use it, they would have to pay to use it via the app and you'd get payment, then next time your friend asks to use it say yes but you'll need to do it through the app.
  • Change your name by Deed Poll to Door Mat
  • Not after the fact.

if he comes around again say yes but that he has to pay for it. I presume you don't have a fixed deal for the charger, so we're probably charged a standard rate by the energy company.

We pay our friends who have EV chargers and without being asked.

If he's a good friend, just let it be on this occasion.
  • To top up the EV is more likely to be less than a tenner. I can put in around 50 kWh for £10 (approx 200 miles). Ask beforehand the next time.

It’s too late unless you wish to lose his friendship.  Ext time he asks set out the rules before he charges his car.

It's probably too late, he offered money and you declined it.

If he comes round again, just say he'll need to pay this time
Except from he didn’t offer and they didn’t decline it.
