Just got an email from them. So will give it a go!1

I asked about applying for the current account in live chat - got put on "wait list"1

Quite bizarrely my current account is still showing in the app. in spite of two requests to close it. The closure(s) were both confirmed.I closed it because they requested more information about account use, incoming and outgoing payments. Specifically the sources of account funding and payees. Without access to a crystal ball that request is very difficult to predict. Do they suspect money laundering even with a newly opened account with a zero balance and no credits or debits?
A few days ago, out of curiosity, I transferred £1 into and out of the account which worked and shows in transactions. That would indicate to me the account is still active.0 -
I'd suggest someone who isn't capable of imagining how their account is going to be used without consulting a crystal ball is a very high risk for them!oldagetraveller1 said:Quite bizarrely my current account is still showing in the app. in spite of two requests to close it. They only want a rough idea of your expectations, not a detailed budget.2 -
"capable of imagining " Oh, I'm capable of imagining many things. I doubt they want imagination.I could imagine how much a weekly shop is going to be or imagine how much an unexpected car repair might be.My expectation is to open/operate an account without the third degree. Unless there's an unexpected questionable £10k deposit/transfer in and then out.I wonder has anyone else had a similar question from them?I was merely pointing out their obvious inability to close an account, confirming it and not carrying out the request.0

These questions are now typical when opening financial accounts from all institutions.oldagetraveller1 said:"capable of imagining " Oh, I'm capable of imagining many things. Has anyone figured out what "month" is with regards to the Regular Saver linked to this account? I thought, today being 31st, I would send 300 pounds into it and then again tomorrow (because new month), but it seems that their definition is just a month from opening the pot?
I find the answer from their FAQs unclear. Every date falls into one month or another, so the point about "29th or later..." could be much clearer in my opinion.A monthly allowance period determines when your £300 monthly deposit allowance resets.
This starts from the day you open a pot. For example, if you open a pot on 8th July, your £300 monthly deposit allowance will reset on the 8th of each month. If you open a pot on the 29th or later, and that date doesn’t fall in a particular month, your monthly allowance period will reset on the last day of that month.

Clear as mud. I've taken it to mean monthly from date of opening - so my RS was opened on 3 Oct and £300 added, the next deposit can be made from 3 Nov onwards.Zuzi said:Has anyone figured out what "month" is with regards to the Regular Saver linked to this account?
