I got the email, but as others have said it doesn't say we'll be forced to switch benefits yet. Fingers crossed we won't be forced until we've all finished milking our old offer.

I considered doing nothing too, but switched my benefits on the basis that £54 is better than £30, even if it requires 12 times the amount of faff.
Just have to refresh my memory of the Moneybox direct debit cycle in order to minimise the amount of time that my £150 isn't earning any interest each month.

Currently getting 4% on £167 per month for my direct debit so not keen on moving at all. Everything else they're offering doesn't really appeal to me.

Fair enough. There have been a few variations on the existing cashback deals. Mine was, until yesterday, 2% up to £1500 per year.

Seems to be another of those 'We've listened to our customers' emails that initially looks like you're going to get something extra, but in reality you'll be worse off.

Some of us will get better deals, some others will not be able to renew their currently existing better deals when they expire. Seems overall fair to me.

I don't pick my bank accounts based on fairness - I pick the ones with the biggest benefits!
My 7.1% regular saver was a 12 month one. I think it must have been an early one. I'll move that elsewhere next month as that's when it finishes. Their 4.45% account can be beaten by First Active now, so will be switching to that as well. Will probably keep the current account open with the minimum to get the DD cashback on my council tax.
I will get a free coffee every month though, so it's not all bad.

I only ever opened a Zopa account to make use of the regular saver account so now they are stopping it I will probably close my account. If I do this will I be able to open another one at a later date or is it like Chase - one strike and you're out!

If I were you I'd just keep it open. It isn't like it's charging you a fee and it'll save the hassle of reapplying if it does offer something that interests you.

As far as I'm aware they don't apply the same rule as Chase, but they might suddenly decide to in future, so I reckon it's worth keeping your account open.
