    Morning all.

I AM going to get something done today other than feeding WM and TD!

Had set my alarm for 7 but OH KINDLY brought me a cuppa ay 6 when he got up for work so by the time I'd drank it all I wanted to do was sleep some more so I just get resetting the alarm until about 1/2 hour ago. So I have showered (altho not dressed) and just had brekkie in front of here. Cuppa still to finish.

Still feel a bit grot so have taken more flu tabs and hope that it wasnt them that caused the allergic reaction  and hope they will give me enough get up and go to actually achieve something today.

Nice to see some new faces up for the challenge Trainee millionaire and elle_gee, a big hello to you, and also some returning Shirley Park - Hello nice to see you back inc the rats, Tartan mum - nice to see you you altho' I dont remember you, must be the Alzheimers :D , and hi to everyone else I havent named.

The list - AND I WILL GET IT DONE!

Manic Monday - Kitchen and Dining Room
    Level One

    Clear and wipe kitchen surfaces
    Level Two

Clean cupboard door fronts and the front of appliances
Sort fridge bringing what needs using soon to the front - There is something in there beginning to smell to it must be done
Wipe dining table (clean table cloth if necessary)
    Level Three
Dust any extra furniture in dining room, checking for cobwebs on way round
Wipe window sills, clean any marks off windows if required
Wash the washer drawer out if it's gunky
    Extra Mission:
    Choose one or more of:
    • Clean inside of fridge
    • Sort through cleaning cupboard, bin empties and move what needs using first to the front
    • Clean OVEN yes I know you all hate that one wonder how many choose it
    • Sort any one kitchen/dining room storage area, drawer, cupboard or a shelf
    • Check the freezer, maybe work what is in there into your meals for the week so you can spend less on groceries

  • Morning every1

Yesterday was day1 of OS way of life so I sorted all cupboards out along with fridge/freezer..Didnt realise I had so much food! So today I shall be making a list of meals.

Made some carbonara sauce yesterday so having that for lunch today also made some home made vanilla ice cream..

DH has woke up this morning and decided that he is quitting smoking,
I am still in shock...I really hope he does it as it would save us loads of money and improve his health!

List of things to do today.....

Switch dishwasher on (got 2 loads)
Switch washing machine on (3 loads)
Get chicken out of freezer for tomorrows dinner
Wipe around kitchen and mop floor
hoover and a quick tidy up in the living room
    and finally make beds..
Also got to get DS washed and dressed..He had a nice shiny new pair of wellies for xmas and he has got a thing for them (puts them on as soon as he wakes up) so got to try and prise them off his feet so I can get him dressed.
    So thats my day :)
Not going out tonight so thought we would have gammon with pineapple and a huge plate of home made chips and trifle for desserts.

Right going to get off this pc and make a start :)
    January Grocery challenge
    Budget £120
    Spent so far £22.54

    My list for today is:

Finish painting Kitchen and tidy mess.
Tidy boys room to make room for xmas toys, chuck out or freecycle their old toys.
Hoover upstairs and downstairs. Tidy front room, somehow it looks like a bombs hit it, kids new xmas presents all over the place, where do i put it all? It seems like it's messy even though I tidied it before they came back from their dads

I now have a 4ft air hockey table bang in the middle of the front room, now where their dad thinks i'm going to store it :o

After i've tried tidying up, i'm off to buy paint for front room to try to make it feel warmer, my house is always cold even with heating on :o especially the hallway grrrr

Oh and lastly wash and brush my foster dog to look nice for when her new owners pick her up today :D

Whether or not jobs will be completed today is another thing :(
  • Hello ladies, my name is Nicky and I am 23 and live in Southampton with my partner Mark, 3 year old son Harry, Honey the unruly puppy and Charlie the cat who hates everyone bar me. Was wondering if I could possibly join this thread please. Have gotten to the point in which my house seems to be a hovel and I need some organisation. I want a nice house in 2008, somewhere I can relax and feel proud of. Will be starting tomorrow if thats ok as Harry is poorly today and just wants to cuddle with mummy. Look forward to getting to know you all better and bear with me, might take a while to get used to things!

:hello: Addictedtolush and doodledo - welcome and good luck

Everything is taking me so long today - feeling worse by the minute so hope DS2 is ok as he has gone out.

Still taking the Christmas cards down and cutting up any bits for tags for next year as I go. Another 30 minutes in the kitchen then kids lunch.

Afternoon will be DS1's room whether he likes it or not - it will be not and a lot of huffing but ho hum.
